Miele@mobile: now also for home delivery

The Miele@mobile app is becoming more and more versatile: some functions have been improved, more Miele appliances are integrated into the system.

‘Echo Show’ feature displays favorite recipes, and Amazon Alexa’s virtual voice assistant now knows a lot more about Miele appliances.

The latest version of Miele@mobile adds a food service that delivers ingredients for selected recipes or even a large grocery order to your home.

1. This autumn Germans can choose their favourite from over 1,200 recipes in the Miele@mobile app. The app generates the required list of products that can be delivered in a single click.

All they need to do is enter their zip code to pop up a window for selecting local food suppliers. All ingredients will then be added to the selected provider’s shopping cart the shopping list can be edited and other items added as desired.

2. Also new is a menu option that shows the level of consumption of consumables – detergents, filters, as well as the maintenance intervals of all connected devices. For example, you can find out about:

• the TwinDos cartridges are below 15% detergent level
• halfway through the recommended replacement cycle for the hood charcoal filter
• the coffee machine needs to be descaled after 20 cups.

After specifying the information, you can automatically go to the Miele online store and in a few clicks order the necessary replacement accessories.

3. The interface of the recipe portal has been redesigned in terms of searching for recipes and ingredients, and registering the device with the app has become even easier.

4. New networking features for coffee machines and dishwashers.

One of the new appliances connected to the app is the Miele CM 7750 freestanding coffee machine with CoffeeSelect technology. The coffee machine can be controlled remotely with Miele@mobile: to prepare coffee, check the level of cereal containers, containers for water or milk.

The app also shows the maintenance status and makes it easy to manage the G 7000 generation dishwashers. The new models feature AutoDos automatic dispensing. In addition, it is possible to program the start time from your smartphone using the AutoStart function: the dishwasher will start automatically .

Amazon Alexa Virtual Assistant

Miele is actively working on the development of communication using the Amazon Alexa virtual voice assistant.

The G 7000 generation dishwashers can now also be programmed and turned on or off using voice control.

By requesting a Miele recipe of the week, the user can also see the results on Amazon using the Echo Show. Echo Show is an on-screen Alexa software extension that can also be used to visualize the SuperVision feature . The function shows the status of connected household devices and provides the user with important information. For example, how much time is left until the end of the washing program.

Miele is working tirelessly on Alexa’s skills and helping it evolve by expanding its knowledge base, including tips on cooking, removing different types of stains and other special features of Miele appliances.

Scout RX2 is controlled by Alexa

Scout RX2 has its own version of the app, and will also respond to Alexa voice control in the future. One such command could be, for example, “Alexa, tell Miele to start the robot vacuum.”.

This app will be introduced with the next Alexa update in early October.

The “Carpet Boost” feature is already available in the RX2 app: If activated, the Scout RX2 automatically increases suction power when it detects a carpet.
