Miele is introducing a new generation of gas hobs with a glass ceramic suusaace

New York, October 03, 2012. – When it comes to cooking, people around the world agree that cooking with gas is better. Miele proudly presents a new generation of gas burners with a glass ceramic gas-on-glass surface. Attractive design, easy-to-clean surfaces and an impressive range of safety features make these models part of the premium class.

Miele gas range

New design features gas burners and pan supports on ceramic glass surfaces. In addition to aesthetic appeal, this design is very practical and offers many advantages. Miele appliances use high-quality all-metal rotary switches to control the gas cooktops.

New gas cookers have a separate removable enameled grill for each burner. The arrangement of the grids allows you to create a flat surface, on which you can easily move pots and pans. The individual cast-iron grates can be easily removed, which is convenient for cleaning the ceramic surface. Furthermore, the racks are dishwasher safe: grease particles and leftovers will no longer need to be washed by hand.

All gas cookers come standard with GasStop, a safety feature that automatically shuts off the gas supply when the flame goes out. The GasStop&ReStart and QuickStart features of the KM 3034 provide added convenience and contribute to greater safety when using the cooktop. If the flame is extinguished by a draught or spilled liquid, the electronic control system automatically reignites the burner. If for various reasons it fails to do so, the gas supply is cut off GasStop&ReStart function . With the QuickStart models, you don’t need to press and hold the metal switch: you simply turn it to ignite the burner automatically.

In some models, the new gas hobs have a timer and a residual heat indicator. With the latter, a red LED light above the switch indicates that the burner is on. When you turn it off, the same LED indicates the presence of residual heat. All burners in the KM 3034 can be turned off at the touch of a button.

These new gas hobs by Miele sound intriguing! I’m really curious about their glass ceramic surface. Does it offer any practical benefits compared to traditional gas hobs? How does it contribute to the overall performance and durability of the appliance? Additionally, I would love to know if there are any safety features or precautions to consider when using these gas hobs with a glass ceramic surface. Thank you!
