Miele is introducing appliances from its ContourLine line of Generation 6000 kitchen appliances

Miele expands its range of built-in kitchen appliances, Generation 6000, available on the American and CIS markets. From June 2014 the ContourLine design line will be on sale, attracting attention with its bold design and particularly suitable for classic kitchens, where a cosy atmosphere is created by an abundance of details.

Concealed appliances

The PureLine and ContourLine design lines form the image of the entire Miele Generation 6000 range of built-in cooking appliances, and each has its own unique, distinctive style and fits harmoniously into kitchen interiors. The updated front panels and handles, state-of-the-art displays and user interface of the Generation 6000 design lines will add elegance and chic to any kitchen.

The ContourLine line differs from the PureLine that you are already familiar with. Although, like PureLine appliances, it has glass panels with integrated controls, the main difference is the extensive use of stainless steel, of which, for example, the frame around the appliance door is made. The massive handles appear to be an integral part of the frame and cover the entire width of the door.

ContourLine is made of stainless steel with CleanSteel coating. CleanSteel is an easy-to-clean surface that leaves no fingerprints. The use of stainless steel in the models creates an additional striking accent.

Six appliances of ContourLine line will be presented on the American market:

* Microwave oven M 6160 TC

* Steam cooker DG 6100

* H 2361 B oven

* Oven H 6160 B

* H 6360 BP oven

* Compact oven with microwave H 6100 BM

ContourLine appliances blend perfectly with both modern and traditional kitchen interiors. “Traditional” is usually considered a style characterized by an abundance of details and embossed surfaces, either painted or finished in natural wood. Playful touches in design can make a kitchen feel very homey and homely, such as in a rustic or quaker style kitchen.

“In terms of design, the ContourLine is more industrial, which is emphasized by more details, such as the stainless steel frame. The integrated handle is cut from a single piece of solid metal. Once you get your hands on it, you’ll realize how special it is. The ContourLine is better suited to classic interiors, where the kitchen is in a separate room. Both design lines have their own design, and the appliances within the lines work perfectly together,” notes Andreas Enslin, Miele chief designer, one of the developers of the Generation 6000 line.

One of the key advantages of the new Generation 6000 models is its “combinable” design. This approach allows you to combine products from completely different categories and different design lines to create a harmonious ensemble. For example, the new ContourLine appliances can easily be combined with the following PureLine appliances: microwave ovens M 6032 SC and M 6030 SC, steamer DG 6030, coffee machines CVA 6431 and CVA 6805 and warmers ESW 6214 and ESW 6114.

“This approach of “combining” appliances by design has not been used before by Miele or other appliance manufacturers. Even appliances with completely different features and specifications cooperate perfectly with one another, such as a high-end built-in oven and a modern steam cooker,” says Andreas Enslin.
