LG Electronics LG and Integrated Device Technology IDT pioneered the industry by introducing an advanced Qi wireless charging profile into the flagship LG V30 smartphone. Advanced profile for safe and fast wireless charging. In doing so, the device remains compatible with the existing Qi 5W standard developed by the Wireless Power Consortium WPC and other widely used base transmitters.
IDT’s market-leading wireless chips increase wireless charging speeds by 30%. The presence of wireless charging contributes to the greater moisture resistance and durability of the smartphone case, designed in accordance with the Qi standard.
LG’s new flagship V30 offers advanced multimedia capabilities. LG V30 integrates a number of innovations – the camera with an aperture of f/1.6 and Crystal Clear glass lens, FullVision OLED display, Cine Video mode to create movies of cinematic quality, high-quality sound thanks to an advanced digital-to-analog converter DAC Hi-Fi Quad and collaboration with experts from B&O PLAY.
“By introducing the V30 to the world, LG has solidified its leadership position in wireless charging with its advanced Qi standard capabilities,” said Chris Stevens, general manager of mobile chargers and sensors at IDT. – We hope the industry will follow LG’s pioneering introduction of an advanced power profile to increase wireless charging speeds.
The IDT wireless receiver provides the best integration and efficiency of the solution to date. The device is based on the flexible 32-bit ARM® M0 architecture, which has allowed LG to optimize performance and wireless charging speed.
“We’ve partnered with IDT again, working on the LG V30, because their technology is second to none when it comes to fast and convenient wireless charging, which is fundamental for many of our premium smartphone users,” added Ha Jeung-uk, vice president and head of premium devices at LG Mobile. – 30% shorter wireless charging time is an advantage of LG V30″.
This collaboration between LG and IDT sounds promising! I’m curious to know what specific advancements this advanced Qi wireless charging profile for smartphones brings. Are there any notable improvements in terms of charging speed, efficiency, or compatibility?
How will the collaboration between LG and IDT impact the future of wireless charging for smartphones?
