LG 489 and 439 series refrigerators: new technology in a persistent minus

New York, May 24, 2012 – LG Electronics LG presents on American market its updated bottom freezer range with Easy Handle – GA-B489E***, GA-B439E***. The handle with a push mechanism allows you to open the refrigerator door smoothly without any extra effort or sharp movements. With this opening mechanism, even when the refrigerator is full, there is no risk of food dropping over, as is the case when opening the door abruptly.

The entire range is distinguished by the combination of advanced technology, stylish exterior design and perfect internal space organization. Thus, the use of energy-efficient LEDs, which occupy much less space than a conventional light bulb, allowed to increase the useful volume of the refrigerator and get rid of unnecessary heat.

And with their standard width and depth and hinged doors, the 489 and 439 series are designed for differently configured kitchens. Another ergonomic advantage of models such as GA-E489E**P and GA-E489E**Z is the foldable shelf, allowing you to store larger food items and containers while saving space for smaller items.

The most advanced models of the upgraded 489 and 439 series with the Easy Handle are equipped with a highly efficient and reliable linear compressor. They are quieter than a conventional refrigerator and use minimum electricity A++ energy efficiency class, almost twice as much as A-class , cool products faster and more efficiently and maintain a constant temperature inside the refrigerator.

The warranty period for the linear compressor is 10 years. All LG models of refrigerators with the linear compressor were tested by the Federal Bureau of Standards “Rostest-New York” and received a certificate of the highest quality category. They are proven to be energy efficient and preserve fresh food better.

The Total No Frost technology with the Multi Air Flow cooling system allows to forget about the freezing chamber defrosting, and, besides, no condensate is formed on the rear wall of the refrigerating chamber that makes it easier to keep the cleanliness in the refrigerator. Cold air is distributed more evenly throughout the entire volume of the compartment, minimising the temperature difference between the upper and lower shelves.
