When I looked at the kettle, I was afraid that while pouring water into cups, the lid would fall off and water would spurt out of the spout. But nothing like this happened! I practically turned the Hottek HT-960-016 “upside down” by pouring water into the sink, the lid held as if it was flush. Took a cup of different shapes and sizes, poured water in it – not a single drop spilled past.
Stand
On the inside there is a place for winding the power cord. Also, there is a special notch for it, so the wire does not fray and break. The socket must be nearby, because the length of the cord is only 80 cm.
Control
The most interesting thing about the Hottek HT-960-016 is the control. It’s arranged in an unusual and modern way.
Under the handle of the kettle is a round switch with an indicator, and on the bottom of the front of the case is a display with an electronic thermometer.
Boiling
- When you put the kettle on the stand, the indicator light glows green, like a traffic light. Two beeps sound, you can go, t.e. Boiling.
- You press the switch, the light flashes red, the kettle begins to boil water.
- At the end of the process the color of the indicator turns green again, a soft sound signal turns on and the kettle turns off automatically.
Heating
- You turn the switch clockwise and the display shows the heating modes from 40 ° C.
- Stop at the desired one, press the button, the indicator light flashes red, it is heating.
- The end of the program is indicated by the color change of the indicator and two beeps.
Heating time
The Hottek HT-960-016 can turn into a thermos for 2 hours. During this time, it keeps not only the boiling water, but also water at any temperature from 40 ° C to 90 ° C.
You just have to hold your finger on the button for a couple of seconds. A pictogram appears next to the temperature on the display, and after heating, the indicator continues to blink red. The kettle will then periodically turn on if the water gets cold.
The description is a bit complicated. And in fact, everything is simple: turn and press, or just press if you boil. That’s all. Two easy steps and so many different functions.
Safety
At the end of any program kettle turns off automatically. If there is little or no water, it also turns off at once.
With built-in overheat protection. If it goes off and the kettle turns off automatically, you need to let it “come to its senses”. In 30 minutes it will be ready to heat and boil again.
Manufacturers do not recommend removing the kettle from its base during its operation. Nothing will happen, but it is better not to do so, so as not to make the electronic brains of the device nervous.

Care
The kettle periodically needs to be descaled. How often depends on the hardness of the water. It is better to use a solution of citric acid, you can also use vinegar or buy a special tool to clean limescale.
Sometimes you have to wipe the kettle body. It leaves “fingerprints” on it. To clean these traces, you just need a soft rag, in the most neglected cases, you can use a special cleaner for cleaning metal surfaces or a glass cleaner.
