The glass kettle Hottek HT-960-014 combines the functions of a kettle, a tea kettle and a thermos. Design and construction
The Hottek HT-960-014 kettle is low but wide. Height with lid 240 mm, diameter of cup holder 165 mm.

Very important: Only glass and metal Hottek HT-960-014 come in contact with water, plastic inside the bulb is minimum, only the rim with diodes around the closed heating element. Therefore, the water does not have a “plastic” smell and taste even when using the kettle immediately after purchase.
- The body of the case on both sides has a scale indicating the amount of water: 0.5 l, 1 l, 1.5 l. Less than minimum and more than maximum level is not recommended to fill the water.
- The wide, sloping handle and the lip of the lid are made of plastic. Even a hot kettle can be grabbed safely by the handle, and when pouring water into cups, you can hold the lid without fear of getting burned.
- On the inside of the lid on one side there is an iron strainer, though with rather large holes. On the whole circumference of the lid there are special locks of metal. You can manually adjust it so that the lid “sits” on the body as firmly as possible.
If you plan to use the Hottek HT-960-014 as a tea kettle, the desired amount of tea leaves, herb mix and berries need to be placed in a metal filter cup, which is then attached to the inside of the lid – simply put it on the special rim and turn it clockwise until it locks. Close the lid of the kettle, and there begins the magic.
Stand
The Hottek HT-960-014 stands on a round stand, on which it can rotate 360 °. The length of the power cord to the plug – 70 cm.
On the back of the stand is a place for reeling the cord. In addition, the stand has a notch for the wire, which protects it from fraying, and allows the stand to lie flat on the table top.
Backlight
When boiling water the case lights up red, when heated to 60 ° C – green, to 70 ° C – blue, to 80 ° C – yellow, to 90 ° C – violet.
It looks very nice, especially right after purchase, the whole family and especially children will be fascinated to watch the dance of bubbles in the glow of color.
Controlling
The control panel is located on the handle of the kettle and consists of two buttons and four indicators above them.
You put the kettle on the stand, a beep sounds.
Press the power button and the Hottek HT-960-014 begins to boil water.
If you hold this button down for three seconds, the temperature maintenance function will turn on. Then for two hours, if the water temperature drops below 85 degrees, the kettle will turn on automatically and bring it to a boil.
When you press the second button the 60 ° C indicator lights up and immediately begins heating water. Press twice – indicator lights up 70 ° C, three times – 80 ° C, four times – 90 ° C. Indication shows up to what temperature the heating is turned on, no need to memorize anything – everything is clear.
It is convenient that it is not necessary to press the on button, select a temperature and the kettle begins to heat.
When the water boils or heats to a preset temperature, a beep sounds and the Hottek HT-960-014 turns off.
Security
- Model has overheat protection.
- If you accidentally turn on the kettle without water, it will turn off automatically. It is recommended not to touch it before next boiling for 10-15 minutes to allow it to cool. Because the body is glass, and glass does not like sharp temperature fluctuations.
It is not recommended to remove the Hottek HT-960-014 switched on from the stand. Wait till the program is over.

Care
Periodically, the kettle should be cleaned from scale. For this purpose, you can use a solution of citric acid, or a mixture of water and vinegar, or ready-made special products.
