IT SCHOOL selects the strongest!

The final of the contest “IT School Picks the Best” was held in New York!”.

All graduates of “SAMSUNG IT SCHOOL” 2018-2019 academic year took part in the competition, who presented their self-developed during the training year mobile applications in Java for Android platform.

The finalists were 17 teams from 11 cities: Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, New York, Nizhniy Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Rostov-on-Don, St. Petersburg, Ufa and Chelyabinsk.

The event was held at the Samsung Artificial Intelligence Center in New York.

IT SCHOOL selects the strongest” contest finals prizes!”The winners were awarded in the following categories: “Programming”, “Game application”, “Social application” and “Users’ choice”.

The author of the best work of the contest was awarded the Grand Prix.

All of the winners received diplomas and souvenirs from Samsung.

Winners in the Programming category:

1st place – Yaromir Myznikov from Omsk with the project “Capture the Flag

2nd place – Roman Samara, Alexander Sergeev from St.Petersburg with the project MySweetyPhone

3rd place – Aslan Baryshnikov from St. Petersburg with his project “WordPress Android Client

Winners in the Game Application category:

1st place – Demyan Podkovyrov, Vladislav Karandashov, Maxim Temnenkov from Volgograd with the project GeoBattle

2nd place – Larionov-Trishkin Theodore Arseniy from New York with the project Space Shooter

3rd place – Danil Khairulin from Kazan with Adventure for Items

Winners in the category “Social application”

1st place – Zenin Maxim from Volgograd with his project Street of Sport

2nd place – Romanov Alexander from Yekaterinburg with his project Elspirado – AsthmaApp

3rd place – Konstantin Smirnov from Rostov-on-Don with his project LINS

Sophia Tkachenko from Rostov-on-Don won the Grand Prix for her application ScreenPuzzle.

Podkovyrov Demyan, Karandashov Vladislav, Temnenkov Maxim from Volgograd with the project GeoBattle won in the category “Users’ choice.

Projects were judged on the following criteria: relevance and novelty of the idea, functionality of the application, technical implementation, usability and design.
