Hasselblad announces new XCD 21mm f /4 lens for the X1D medium format camera. High optical quality and a focal length equivalent to 17mm for full-frame lenses makes the XCD 21mm f /4 ideal for landscape and architectural photography, as well as interior photography.
The lens construction consists of 13 elements in 9 groups, including 2 aspherical lenses. The minimum focus distance is 32cm and the aperture is adjustable from f/4 to f/32. Like other XCD lenses, the XCD 21mm f/4 has a built-in center shutter that offers a wide shutter speed range and flash sync speeds of up to 1/2000 sec.
The XCD 21mm f/4 uses both manual focusing and autofocusing, which is accomplished by moving the lens inside the lens. The lens has a metal casing and supports 77 mm filters. At 83×106 mm, the lens weighs 600 g.
Price and affordability
The XCD 21mm f /4 will go on sale in mid-May 2018 for $3750
