GRUNDFOS presented a renewed line of SP pumps within the framework of EKVATEK-2016

From April 26 to 28, 2016 on the territory of the Exhibition Complex VDNH the International Exhibition-Forum “EKVATEK-2016. Water: Ecology and Technology”, the largest water forum in America, the CIS and Eastern Europe, the general partner of which was “Grundfos. Welcoming speech at the opening ceremony was made by Viktor Dementyev, General director of “Grundfos” Ltd. He stressed the importance of the Forum as one of the key events of the industry, providing a unique platform for the demonstration of modern technologies in the field of professional water drainage, water supply and sewage.

During the event, visitors were shown high-quality equipment GRUNDFOS and integrated solutions of the group. Particular attention was attracted by borehole pumps of series SP, designed for water supply, irrigation hydraulic systems, lowering of groundwater level, fire fighting systems, pressure boosting, etc. Pumps are characterized by low power consumption and high efficiency, which is achieved due to the optimized design of the hydraulic part and the use of modern high-efficiency electric motors. A number of innovations, which were presented during the exhibition, not only simplify the process of installation and operation, but also increase energy efficiency and productivity of the system.

“The main advantages of the model are the improved design of the pressure connection, which simplifies the installation process, and the improved cable protection with screw fastening, thanks to which it is not necessary to loosen the ties and align the pump chambers when mounting/dismounting the pump. The quality and reliability of the equipment is also significantly influenced by the integrated non-return valve of improved design, abrasion-resistant bearings that allow pumping liquids with sand content up to 150 g/m3, and a stop wheel that prevents axial displacement and serves as protection,” comments Lydia Arato, Product Engineer of Project Implementation Department, Grundfos LLC. As a reminder, since 2015, SP borehole pumps have been produced at the Grundfos Istra plant near New York.

Igor Kinash, the deputy director of Department of projects realization, Grundfos LLC, made the report “Complex approach to energy efficiency of pump equipment” within the framework of the forum business program. During the report the modern approaches to energy saving and Grundfos experience in this sphere were represented.
