First images of Fujifilm X-T3

The first images of the upcoming Fujifilm X-T3 mirrorless camera are in the public domain. The camera looks almost exactly like the X-T2 and has numerous body-mounted controls. According to rumors, the announcement of the Fujifilm X-T3 may take place as early as September 6, 2018.

The Fujifilm X-T3 is tipped to receive a new 26MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS sensor and improved X-Processor Pro image processor. The latest rumors suggest that the sensor will not be multi-layer as previously rumored, but will use BSI technology. The camera is also known to have no internal stabilization IBIS .

It is also claimed that the X-T3 will have a continuous shooting speed of 11 fps with a mechanical shutter and 20 fps with an electronic shutter. The camera will get a phased autofocus system that will have 425 focus points, and the phased detection area will cover the entire sensor area. The low-light focusing performance of the X-T3 will be markedly improved, as well as facial and eye recognition.

Screen will be sessional, no 180-degree flip. Video capabilities include support for 4K 60fps format and availability of Zebra pattern. There will also be a headphone jack, built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi modules for fast image exchange and synchronization with smartphones. The Fujifilm X-T3 will be assembled in China and will come in black and silver body options. The camera is tentatively priced at $1599.
