Faber hoods 2018: an invitation to the kitchen of the future

In Fabriano, Italy, you can already see, in the Faber showroom, which cooker hoods will be trending worldwide over the next five to ten years. All the new products from Faber, the company that invented the first cooker hood and today is the trendsetter and creator of the most interesting and technologically advanced models, can be found in this collection.

Faber K-Air

The beauty of Faber hoods fascinates, but the design is not only in the accuracy of lines and details.

Faber design is all about functionality, it’s the functionality that reigns supreme and dictates the style.

Flat hoods perpendicular to the hob

Faber Talika

Faber Pyana, Faber Gram-Fit, Faber Talika hoods are slim and compact, placed vertically to the cooktop and look more like pieces of modern art than kitchen appliances.

Such a form is possible with the invention of the Nautilus motor, which is not more than 15 cm thick. A design inspired by nature, based on the Nautilus clam. Its sink is spirally wound in a single plane. This is how the impeller is “spun”. The reduced thickness of the motor is not its only virtue: the shape of the motor does not obstruct the airflow, which is why Nautilus turbine hoods combine high efficiency with Class A energy-efficiency.

The Faber cooker hoods with the Steam Off system Faber Ilma, Faber Luft do an excellent job. Two air flows are created when they are switched on – one absorbs steam, the second one creates a vortex flow to absorb damp steam faster.

Faber Galileo integrated cooker hood

While this solution looks unusual and unusual, but it reflects the desire to see in a single space cooker hob and hood.

GALILEO

The hood located in the central part of the induction hob, despite its compact size, effectively sucks in all odors and steam that appear during cooking.

The difference between the Faber Galileo and its competitors there are at least 2 other integrated hoods on the market is the water resistance of the hood motor. If during cooking, for example, broth is spilled on the hob and gets into the hood, it will not cause damage or affect the operation of the device.

In addition, the part of the hood that is underneath the panel does not take up much space, which makes it possible to use the cabinet for storing cookware.

The hood responds to the cooktop, but can also be switched separately.

The company’s engineers are now working on a sensor that will detect the type of food and automatically select the optimal power level in the hood.

Two motors: better performance and lower costs

Another interesting step is the use of two motors in the hood.

Named Aries because of its resemblance to the spiral-shaped horns. Two motors allow you to get more than 700 m3/h, while reducing noise by 9 dB and saving energy.

Not just a light fixture

Chandelier” hoods are probably the most beautiful among today’s devices. It’s not for nothing that the Faber collection has a model called Belle.

This year’s trend is to place the chandelier hood closer to the cooktop

Thanks to the Airlane technology, even in this position they are able to work in the extraction mode. The fact is that “in the ceiling” there is a second fan where the polluted air coming through the upper grilles of the hood is drawn in, without compromising the performance of the hood.

Precious silence

The Sil&Still technology enables the Faber Onyx range hoods to operate with minimal noise.

The maximum sound level is only 52 dB, and with a soft conversation the noise level is up to 65 dB, which means that these cooker hoods won’t disturb even a quiet conversation in the kitchen. At the same time in Eco mode the noise level is reduced to 40 dB(A which is quieter than the noise of the elevator traffic . When this mode is activated, the hood automatically turns on for 10 minutes every hour to ventilate the kitchen air.

Faber hoods also use the latest Sil-K ACT technology, which lowers the noise level by 13 dB(A , combined with a transition to lower frequencies.

All these technologies are embodied in the hoods, which are already on sale, including in America.

Extractor hood of the future

Faber K-Air

In the company’s showroom, you can see how the hood of the future works, which was unveiled at EuroCucina 2018.

The Faber K-Air is a flat vertical hood with integrated screen. One touch is enough to synchronize your smartphone and cooker hood and you can watch your photos, videos and animations on the big screen. You can control the air purification process, or select the menu for dinner and much more. A concept so far, but very soon you can have it in your kitchen to make your life even simpler and more comfortable.

“Air Matters.”. This Faber slogan encapsulates their vision of a cooker hood: a technology that gives air to the kitchen.

And Faber hoods give their owners the pleasure of being in the kitchen.
