ELECTRONICSDELUXE OVEN: these are the pies

Is it possible to buy a functional oven, equipped with all the most necessary and convenient, for adequate money? Yes, if you look at American manufacturers. To be sure of this choice, we took the ELECTRONICSDELUXE oven, which is made in Penza, for a test.

INSTALL

Standard procedure, easily handled by a qualified technician. Note that the power cord with plug is long, the socket can be more than 1 m away from the oven, and the kit has all the necessary fasteners.

ELECTRONICSDELUXE 6009.01 oven – a multifunctional oven. It has forced convection and a powerful ring heater on the back wall, providing rapid heating of the oven and intense heat for cooking.

Three types of food exposure are used:

  • Static – heat from above and below,
  • convection – all modes with fan operation,
  • infrared – all modes with grill.

Very convenient that on the inside of the oven door there is a detailed graphic guide for cooking different foods. Specified not only the preferred mode and temperature, but also the level on which to place the tray.

TESTING

A good housewife knows that every oven has its own “character” and it takes time for people and appliances to get used to each other. That’s why we did not limit ourselves to cooking one dish in the oven, but tested it for over a month, solving a variety of culinary problems: from simple heating of semi-finished products to complex baking. Cooked both children and adults, trying to use all modes.

And it must be said, the oven has never failed us, all dishes were successful, the main thing is to choose the right mode.

FUNCTIONAL

Oven has 8 different heater combinations. If we compare the power of the heaters, we can see the following picture:

Ring = grill ~ lower and upper heaters ~ 2 kW.

The most powerful mode is “top fan + grill + fan”. Not only is the total power of 3.1 kW, but also all kinds of thermal effects work: the heating element is supported by powerful infrared heat and convection. This mode allows you to “seal” the meat quickly so that all the juices remain inside.

The upper heating element plays a secondary role in this oven: it is activated only in conjunction with either the grill or the lower heating element.

To heat up the oven quickly I used either “top + bottom + convection” or “circulaire + convection” modes. In this case it took 5-7 minutes to heat the oven to 200 ˚C.

Generally, these two modes are similar to each other, but also have an important distinction: when combining the top + bottom and fan fan dishes are quickly browned on top, and inside can still remain uncooked, in this case, a combination of circular heater and convector is preferable, as it allows you to achieve more even heating. This mode also allows you to cook on two trays at the same time because the hot air is distributed throughout the interior of the oven.

The oven has great insulation, all the heat stays inside. It even seems to have a higher temperature than the one specified. If I cooked almost always at 200°C in the oven I was using before, this oven just allows me to turn it down to 180°C and the results will be the same.

CONCLUSIONS

The oven is functional and has the most popular modes and all types of heaters including the ring heaters.

It heats very well and evenly and keeps the temperature very well.

The manual and the hint on the door provide detailed information on the proper use of modes/temperatures/levels. If you follow these recommendations, good results are guaranteed when cooking a variety of dishes.

CONTROL

The oven has two recessed switches for manual operation, and an electronic block for the timer, auto off and on hours.

Electronicsdeluxe

The switches are convenient: press and they merge with the front of the oven, press and they themselves extend, and by turning them, you can easily set the desired temperature and mode of operation.

The light turns on in any mode, but it can also work autonomously, which is convenient, for example, when cleaning the inside of the cabinet.

The electronic block is push-button, which in my opinion is a bit archaic in these days of sensors and color displays. Various combinations of buttons to set the time on the clock, a timer or an electronic programmer. The technology is not new, but has been tested for decades.

As practice shows, the most often used timer and the automatic switch-off, fully automatic switch-on mode at a set time and the subsequent switching-off are used by housewives less often, only if they are absolutely sure that the set time is enough to cook the dish. What’s really nice is the melodious sound of the timer – not annoying, but pleasant.

CONCLUSIONS

Everything is simple, convenient and habitual, but, in my opinion, inferior in functionality. Button time setting for the timer or shutdown program does not always work correctly sometimes it’s hard to stop the “+” or “-” button running at the right moment .

Clear, easy-to-read displays and understandable pictograms.

Special thanks for the hint on the door. It seems to be a trifle, but it makes life much easier, especially in the initial stages of communicating with technology.

SAFETY

The oven has a cooling fan that turns on 10 minutes after the start of the program, and runs for some time after the oven is off. It runs quietly, almost inaudibly, but it protects the oven well from overheating.

Still, when you open the door, a cloud of hot steam rushes out, which tells you how well the oven keeps the temperature, but it’s not pleasant for your skin. Therefore, I do not recommend you to “stick your nose in the oven”. You open the door, wait a few seconds and then check what’s inside.

The door has double glazing. With a thermal imaging camera we measured the temperature of the outer glass of the oven during cooking after 40 min . The display is clear and legible and the pictograms are clearly legible for example, when working at 200 ˚C . The hottest point is 74 ˚C, the coldest is 62 ˚C. It meets the standards, but it is still hot, hands touching the glass during cooking is not recommended. If the family has small children, I recommend installing the oven in a high cabinet, it will solve the problem of curiosity of children, and is very convenient to use.

CONCLUSIONS

During the entire test, we did not encounter a situation of overheating. Everything is working correctly and correctly.

CARING

The inner surface of the oven is smooth enamel. Disadvantages are obvious – only manual cleaning. Pros – there are no restrictions on the choice of detergents, preference, of course, is given to modern pastes.

Manufacturers have thought of certain convenience for general cleaning: remove the inner glass of the door, remove the rubber seal and internal rails.

In two months of intensive use, the need for general cleaning has not arisen: several times I washed the inner surface of the glass from grease droplets, I used a conventional cleaner for glass, and it took a spot cleaning of the “floor” of the oven from the burnt cheese, the children are not very carefully heated pizza on the rack.

The outside of the oven is also easy to clean. Metal parts and switches can be cleaned in seconds with a special cleaner, it’s just as easy to clean the glass. If you don’t like chemicals, it might take a little more time, but the baking soda and vinegar will help you keep everything clean.

You can “steam” the interior to make cleaning easier if you want. Pour water into the tray, add citric acid, put it on the bottom level, turn on the mode “bottom heat + convection”, select a temperature of 100 ˚ C and leave so for 15-20 minutes. It helps to soften the dirt, so that all surfaces can be cleaned faster.

EXCEPTIONS

The oven does not have a self-cleaning program, but it has a lot of thoughtful details that make cleaning easier.

DESIGN

The oven looks modern and stylish. Silver metal handle harmonizes with metal insert and switches. Thanks to these silver details, the oven will fit well in a kitchen with a silver refrigerator or small appliances of this color and design.

Wide panoramic window allows you to watch the cooking inside the oven and you don’t have to open the door for extra time.

TEST TOTALS

  • I would like to point out right away, the ELECTRONICSDELUXE 6009.01 espv is one of the most affordable ovens on the market. Other manufacturers’ models with similar features cost more. And the warranty period is three years, which is also higher than most offers. Claimed service life of 10 years – a premium rating. • The functionality of the oven is very broad and allows chefs with any level of knowledge and skills to cook any food well. Very good insulation even allows you to use lower temperatures for cooking than in many other cabinets.
  • The disadvantages: the push-button controls and high probability that the switches will need to be replaced, but with such a long warranty period is not a problem.

+ Circular heater, functionality, intelligent security system, two trays included, removable guides, modern design, reasonable price, long term warranty.

– A pair of telescopic rails wouldn’t hurt.
