Dell is unveiling a series of world-first innovations at the annual Consumer Electronics Show CES , taking place in Las Vegas, S.C., Jan. 05 to 08, that dramatically change the way PCs work. Dell Canvas ā€“ Work at the Speed of Thought

What Dell engineers envisioned in 2014 as a smart desk concept is now embodied in Dell Canvas, a new category of intelligent workstations that extend creative and productive work opportunities for content creators and designers. This 27-inch QHD smart workspace can be used as a flat desk or tilting surface, allowing professionals to bring their ideas to life as naturally as they do on paper.

For example, with digital pens and the Dell Totem touch controller, Dell Canvas transforms drawings and blueprints into electronic documents that incorporate document workflows and facilitate collaborative work. Developed in partnership with Microsoft and compatible with virtually any Windows 10 device, Dell Canvas hardware effectively integrates with software solutions from technology partners including Adobe, Autodesk, AVID, Dassault Systems and Microsoft, letting anyone unleash their creativity.

New XPS 13 Transformer and redesigned XPS 15

The Dell XPS line has already won more awards than any other Dell brand in its history. Dell introduces the 2-in-1 XPS 13, the worldā€™s smallest 13-inch laptop-transformerĀ¹. Its screen rotates 360 degrees, enhancing viewing and productivity, the battery lasts 15 hoursĀ², and the InfinityEdge touch screen catches the eye with its clear picture and respectable QHD+ resolution 5.7M dots . Itā€™s another new addition to the family of 2-in-1 solutions.

The fanless design is silent and the SSDā€™s rapid, rapid bootup in seconds gets you up and running in no time. Some all-block makers consider audio an afterthought. New XPS 27 AIO and Precision AIO monoblocks created with Jack Joseph Puig, Grammyā„¢-winning producer and director of innovation at Waves Audio. Dell UltraSharp 32 Ultra HD 8K ā€“ the worldā€™s first 32-inch monitor with 8K resolution. It supports more than 1 billion. colors, 33.2M pixels, 100% Adobe RGB and sRGB color gamut, and has an unprecedented pixel density of 280 ppi, which means four times more content than in Ultra HD 4K resolution, and 16 times more content than in Full HD.

Monitors offering this extreme resolution, the clarity of Dell PremierColor technology and color gradation will find commercial applications in areas where large-scale image zooming is important, primarily such as photo and video editing, medical and diagnostic research, and oil and gas exploration. Dellā€™s entire line of consumer XPS, Inspiron and Alienware devices, as well as the OptiPlex, Latitude and Precision commercial products, now include the latest 7th generation IntelĀ® Coreā„¢ processors, USB-C with Thunderboltā„¢ 3 connectivity options and upgraded professional graphics from NVIDIA and AMD. Continuing to lead the global display market, Dell also updated its line of monitors.

Business products are also built around 7th generation IntelĀ® Coreā„¢ vProā„¢ and XeonĀ® processors, and the new ultra-slim notebook and 2-in-1 devices reflect customer demand for thin and light professional products with no compromises when it comes to productivity, security and management.

In particular, Dell strengthened its leadership in the workstation segment with the introduction of the Precision 5520, the worldā€™s lightest model in the 15-inch workstation segment aimed at the professional community. Additions to the lineup also include the Latitude Ultrabookā„¢ 7000 series and the Latitude 5000 series, a 12-inch 2-in-1.
