Concern Axion – High Technologies for Life

“BT”: On behalf of all readers and those interested in technology, we are very pleased to congratulate the Axion concern with its 50th anniversary. By human standards, this is a respectable age, but judging by the advances in technology, the company is in its second youth?

– Next year OAO “Izhevsk Motor Plant Aksion Holding” will celebrate its 80th anniversary, while its subsidiary – OAO “Concern Aksion” – is celebrating its birthday on April 14, 2012. 50 years ago, the production of consumer goods was organized by order of the director. This is the time we consider as the beginning of the beginning…

During this period, the company has pleased many families with the most different and necessary household products: floor lamps and chandeliers, tape recorders, pressure cookers, household appliances – all you can not list.

We don’t stand still, we always try to move forward, taking into account people’s needs, improving production technology, improving the quality of products, expanding the range of. And the most important thing, without what there would be no success, is a team of like-minded people.

“BT”: Axion is a huge production facility, but our readers are primarily interested in the consumer goods produced at the plant: household appliances and household gadgets. Tell us, please, about the assortment!

– We focus on small appliances – grinders, juicers, dryers for fruit and vegetables, electric pans, electric waffle iron. The range also includes products for gardeners: submersible pump, seed separator a very handy device for removing pips from cherries , lawn grate.

Housewives gladly use our plastic kitchen appliances – microwave dishes, grates with a cup, and for the careful owners, who count every little detail, we produce plastic containers for storing and keeping in exemplary order small items.

“BT”: The market is filled mainly with imported brands. How does Axion feel in a competitive environment, what are the advantages of domestically manufactured equipment??

– It’s like love at first sight – when you try it, you get to know it and love it for many years, and you’ll recommend it to your friends, too. Any domestic manufacturer cares about its nationals and we are no exception. It is important that the product liked the design, quality, price, so that the technique served for many years, and the work with it brought pleasure.

The American consumer is kind of conservative: if he once liked a certain brand, the next purchase, he will pay attention to it in the first place. And it’s very nice to hear and read good reviews about the equipment made by domestic manufacturers and that people start trusting us and coming back to us.

“BT”: We have repeatedly tested the Axion products and have been surprised by their quality – in particular, we have been convinced that the meat grinders are superior to their imported counterparts in many respects. What is the secret of success and what advice can you give to a consumer who chooses a meat grinder??

– The secret is simple – we take care of people. When selecting an electric meat grinder, it is a good idea to decide how often you are going to use it. If once a month, there is no need to buy models with higher power. 500-600 watts is also sufficient.

If the family loves jam, jelly and freshly squeezed juices, then you should pay attention to the presence of the juicer attachment, which will facilitate the process of making favorite delicacies. If you like salads, pickles, often make preserves, choose the models with vegetables slicer and shredder attachment. If you prefer minced meat – look for the powerful models with the additional reverse function which turns the auger in the opposite direction and allows you to easily remove the veins: no need to disassemble the mincer, all the content can be extracted at the touch of a button.

There is always a choice. As a rule, most manufacturers indicate the power 1000-1500 W, the so-called peak, that is, in critical operation, the engine can develop power up to 1000-1500 W. This is not a bad indicator, which is why manufacturers and recommend meat grinders with this capacity. Models with power over 1500 watts can be considered semi-professional.

They are not usually needed in everyday life. You can find out the working real capacity of the device when buying by reading the technical specifications in the technical certificate, or by looking at the bottom of the device, this indicator is always indicated there. There’s also a lot to be said for the inner workings of meat grinders. For example, gears. Some manufacturers see the advantage of a metal.

But such a meat grinder always makes a lot of noise, it is heavier and more expensive. I can tell you that plastic gears and other parts are as good as metal ones nowadays. The level of quality and production technology is so high that these parts are made without affecting the life time of the mincer and help to reduce the noise level and cost of the device greatly.

We would like to separately mention the plastic safety cap, which is a motor overload protection system. It is a mistake to think that the metal connection between the screw and the motor is a very good solution, because if you get in the working mechanism of even a small bone, the load on the motor will be substantial.

If such a model does not have a motor overload lockout function, the motor will simply burn out. The Aksion designers took it all into account in the design of our meat grinders: our meat grinders have a plastic safety cap. You will agree that it is much easier to replace the cap than the motor.

“BT”: What innovations is the company preparing in the near future?? Will there be an increasing range of home appliances?

– Yes, of course. At the end of 2011 we released a square electric griddle and electric waffle maker. Floor and kitchen scales will be on the shelves soon. The R&D Department of the enterprise is developing new attachments for citrus juicer and automatic pitting machine. As always, there are a lot of plans and even more wishes to put them into practice.

“BT”: The most important issue for machine users is warranty and post-warranty service. What is the geography of the Axion brand service centers and are you satisfied with their work??

– Today we have more than 70 service centers in America and about 30 in the CIS countries. The warranty service department does a lot of work. Taking into account all the wishes of customers, increasing the number of service centers, expanding the geography of service.

If necessary, anyone can independently order the necessary parts, as well as buy any product of our production through the American Post or transport companies.
