M.Zuiko Digital ED 100-400mm F5-6.3 IS offers a focal length equivalent to 200-800mm, which can be extended to 1120mm with the M teleconverter.Zuiko Digital 1.4x MC-14 and up to 1600mm with the 2x MC-20 teleconverter. This opens up limitless possibilities for taking pictures of birds, animals and other subjects that you canāt get close to. A minimum focus distance of only 1.3m over the entire zoom range and a maximum magnification of 0.57x 35mm equivalent for superior telemacro performance with small subjects such as insects and flowers. The lens supports Focus Stacking. This feature takes multiple shots with different focus positions and automatically combines them into a single photo with great depth of field and focusing across the entire frame, from foreground to background.
Exceptional image quality at all focal lengths and rugged, weatherproof casing
The optical construction of the lens consists of four ED lenses to suppress color contours and chromatic aberration, two Super HR lenses and two HR lenses for bright, sharp images across the entire image field and at all focal lengths. ZERO Zuiko Extra-Low Reflection Optical coating reduces flare and ghosting, even in unfavorable conditions such as against the light. In addition, robust seals on several points of the body ensure the same high level of dust, splash and low temperature protection as M lenses.Zuiko PRO, for quiet shooting in any weather conditions.
Focus limiter and in-camera stabilization
Integrated focus system of the M.Zuiko Digital ED 100-400mm F5-6.3 IS is provided by a lightweight focusing lens for fast, high-precision autofocus. This lens also features a switch and focus limiter. It allows you to switch the AF working range between three levels according to the selected focus distance for comfortable shooting even at maximum telephoto values. In addition, the lensā built-in stabilization compensates for up to 3 exposure steps and allows you to shoot handheld at any focal length.
