With an effective resolution of 24.3Mpix, it’s more than twice the optical range of the APS-C sensor found in larger DSLRs. The full frame sensor captures every last detail and fine structure in the frame and guarantees absolute accuracy, rich color reproduction and an impressively wide dynamic range.
The large sensor also helps expand the ISO sensitivity range to between 100 and 25600. With the extended sensitivity range mode, you can set the sensitivity to as low as ISO 502. And with the Multi Frame Noise Reduction mode you can set the ISO sensitivity as high as 102400. The data coming from the Exmor CMOS sensor is processed by the BIONZ processor, which also enables high-speed continuous shooting at full resolution of up to 5 frames per second.
