, known for its accurate predictions, published a report that Canon is preparing to announce the new PowerShot SX740 HS compact, which will replace the existing 730. The camera has already gone through the registration process and could be announced in the next two weeks or no later than August 2018.
Exact specifications are still unknown, except that the camera will have built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to synchronize with your smartphone, and will be available in black and silver. However, changes to the PowerShot SX740 HS could affect many parameters.
For example, the camera may get a new sensor with increased resolution of 22-24 megapixels or increased size to 1/1.7″ less likely , a DIGIC 7 image processor, as well as a new lens with a more powerful zoom, improved performance, and more advanced functionality. RAW format support and the ability to shoot 4K video are not ruled out. If the announcement of the PowerShot SX740 HS is really close, then new information and more precise specifications of the camera will hit the public in the near future.
