According to rumor mill CanonWatch, which cites a āknownā and āreliableā source, Canon may announce the 7D Mark III before early summer 2018 and begin selling the new DSLR as early as July or August.
CanonWatch anticipates that the announcement may take place at CP+ in Japan, in early March or at NAB, in April 2018. Of course, itās still too early to talk about the specifications of the 7D Mark III, but there are a few important features that Canon should definitely include so that the new camera can compete handsomely:
1. Better AF tracking. Canonās iTR technology has lagged behind the competition for the past few years, and the 7D III needs significant improvement in this area. It would be ideal if the 7D III got the same autofocus system as the 1DX Mark II.
2. Improved Video. The 7D III is guaranteed to feature 4K -video shooting.
3.Improved basic dynamic range. Given that most of Canonās cameras since the 7D II have improved dynamic range, itās likely that this will be implemented in the 7D III as well.
4.Touch screen.
5.Automatic fine-tuning AF for Canon lenses with multiple focal lengths stored.
6.Built-in WiFi, Bluetooth and NFC support
