Wide-angle lens with focal range of 25.5-382.5mm helps create expressive shots with beautiful bokeh effect. DIGIC DV6 image processor and HD oversampling processing mechanisms for advanced Full HD shooting, and a powerful five-axis stabilization system to prevent distortion even when shooting handheld.
Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology ensures fast, accurate autofocusing of up to 80% of the image area vertical and horizontal . Various autofocus modes – Face Detection, Face Priority or Face Only – and Touch Tracking control allow even more precise control of focus, and the Dual Pixel Focus Guide helps you focus manually. This innovative assistant achieves extremely precise focusing by using Dual Pixel CMOS AF with phase detection.
The XA55/XA50 offers multi-format shooting capabilities, including XF-AVC and MP4 video recording in up to 4K UHD 25P on SD memory cards, and slow motion and high speed shooting with a maximum of 1200x acceleration in 4K or Full HD. Two SD card slots enable baton recording and parallel recording. The XA55/XA50 camcorder is economical: you can record continuously for more than two hours at a time.
