Company Canon declares release of firmware update for the following models of professional cameras: EOS C200, EOS C300 Mark II, XF405, XF400, EOS C700 and EOS C700 GS PL. XF405, XF400 and C200 models get recording in Canon XF AVC MXF format. The format improves efficiency of capturing high-quality UHD and HD video and optimizes the video production process.
Also after the update, the EOS C200, EOS C700, EOS C700 GS and EOS C300 Mark II cameras will automatically receive MXF metadata from the lenses, including the actual focal length, not just the equivalent focal length for full-frame cameras 35mm .
The EOS C200 and EOS C300 Mark II’s improved touch screen sensitivity deserves special mention: operators will now find it even easier to adjust focus.
In addition, the updated firmware ensures compliance when the EOS C700, EOS C700 GS PL and EOS C300 Mark II wireless file transmitter WFT E8 is connected to the cameras.
