ASUS unveiled new ROG series devices at Computex 2015

At Asia’s largest information and computer technology exhibition Computex 2015 ASUS introduced new devices for gamers under the brand name Republic of Gamers ROG . These include the ROG Spatha mouse, ROG Claymore keyboard, ROG Curved, Swift PG27AQ and Swift PG279Q monitors, ASUS Z170 motherboard with Intel CPU

The new flagship mouse for gamers ROG Spatha and gaming keyboard with backlight ROG Claymore were demonstrated at the exhibition.

Computer Components

ROG Spatha mouse, optimized for multiplayer gaming, featuring a customizable 16.8 million color backlighting in three zones. Equipped with twelve programmable buttons, the new ROG Spatha mouse has an exclusive design that allows you to change switches to adjust the pressure of the keys. The mouse case is made of durable magnesium alloy. Comes with a docking station that acts as a charger.ROG Spatha mouse can be used both wirelessly and wired.

ROG Claymore – new mechanical keyboard for gamers with detachable number pad. It will be available in four variants – users will be able to choose between red, brown, blue and black Cherry MX RGB switches. ROG Claymore keyboard receives ROG’s signature design, complemented by the original customizable key backlight up to 16.8 million colors .

At Computex 2015 ASUS also showed three new monitors for gamers – ROG Curved, Swift PG27AQ and Swift PG279Q. The 34-inch ROG Curved monitor with 3440 x 1440 pixels resolution thanks to its curved design allows gamers to fully immerse themselves in the gaming experience. The Swift PG27AQ 27″ Ultra-HD 3840 x 2160 pixels and Swift PG279Q WQHD 2560 x 1440 pixels monitors both feature a high frame rate 144 Hz . IPS technology on these models ensures wide viewing angles. All three products support NVIDIA’s revolutionary new display technology® G-SYNC, which provides an incredibly fast and smooth gaming experience by synchronizing the refresh rate of the monitor with the frame rate of the image output.

New 27-inch MG series monitors MG279Q and MG278Q feature WQHD resolution and high refresh rate 144Hz . MG278Q has a rapid response time of only 1ms. The MG279Q has a brilliant 178° viewing angle with its IPS™ display. MG Series monitors feature a host of exclusive technologies. AMD technology® FreeSync Eliminates image tearing for an exceptionally smooth gaming experience. Additionally, the monitors boast state-of-the-art technologies to reduce eyestrain during long gaming sessions: ASUS Ultra-Low Blue Light and Flicker-Free. ASUS GameVisual technology allows you to quickly adjust the monitor to suit your current tasks and conditions to get the best possible picture. A total of six customisation modes are available.

New Strix GTX 980Ti Gamer graphics card receives exclusive ASUS DirectCU III cooling system with three silent fans. It performs 30% better than a reference cooler. ASUS uses its proprietary fully automated Auto-Extreme technology and only premium Super Alloy Power II components to ensure stable performance and longevity of the Strix GTX 980Ti. The exclusive GPU Tweak II utilities are included for fine-tuning the graphics engine and XSplit Gamecaster for real-time gaming.

The ROG Certification Program guarantees compatibility between third-party devices and components and ROG-branded products. Devices and components undergo rigorous comprehensive testing by ASUS engineers, and only the best are certified by ROG. At present the list of the program partners includes such companies as Avexir, BitFenix, etc®, Bitspower®, Corsair®, G.Skill, HyperX®, In Win, Lian-Li and Thermalright. All ROG-certified products will carry a ROG sticker and will be available at partner stores and ROG distributors. ROG Certification Program terms and conditions may vary by region.

ASUS also unveiled a prototype of the innovative ASUS Z170 motherboard based on the upcoming 6th generation Intel Core processor at Computex.

Visitors could also get acquainted with a number of ASUS products, which implement the support of high-speed USB 3 interface.1 and all NVM Express drives NVMe through the ASUS Hyper Kit expansion card. These include ASUS motherboards with USB 3.1 with both Type-A and Type-C connectors, based on ASMedia ASM1142 controller , expansion cards with USB 3.1 Type-A and USB 3.1 Type-C, a front panel with support for USB Power Delivery technology capable of delivering up to 100 watts of power to charge external USB devices, and a new solid-state drive SSD enclosure with USB 3.1. Up to 10Gbps throughput, which can be achieved with the exclusive ASUS USB 3 utility.1 Boost, its booth featured two water-cooled desktops with support for USB 3.1 and all NVMe type drives.

ASUS also showed at Computex a full range of complete solutions for home networking, which are becoming more and more complex every year.

The exclusive AiProtection technology, jointly developed with Trend Micro, protects against external attacks and ensures the security of sensitive data. To optimize bandwidth utilization in multi-user environments, the RT-AC3200 features Tri-Band Smart Connect, an innovative technology that automatically assigns just the right amount of Wi-Fi bandwidth to each device on the network.

For high-rise apartments or offices, the RT-AC87U router is the ideal choice, as it has a coverage area of 465 square meters. For extended wireless coverage, improved wireless signal strength and dead zone issues, ASUS offers a full range of Wi-Fi amplifiers supporting speeds up to 300Mbps 802.8Mbps and 300Mbps 802.8Mbps .11n to 1,900 Mbps 802.11ac .

ASUS has also unveiled its new 4G router ASUS 4G-AC55U that can connect to the Internet at speeds of up to 150Mbps, allowing other devices to access the Internet through a high-speed wireless 802.11ac. Can also be used as a portable access point.

ASUS Announces Two New Monitors and a Projector. The LX34 Curved monitor is a true work of art. ASUS P3B – a portable short-throw LED projector with battery-powered, made in a compact and lightweight design, so you can always take it with you. LED lifespan is 30,000 hours. The projector is capable of displaying HD content at a resolution of 1280×800 pixels at a maximum brightness of 800 lumens. Short-throw lens enables a 58-inch view from a distance of one meter from the screen. ASUS P3B can show presentations without using a computer via HDMI MHL Mobile High-Definition Link , via USB port, directly from MicroSD card or from your mobile device using special mobile app ASUS Wi-Fi Projection. Built-in 12,000mAh battery gives you up to three hours of battery life and can be used as an external battery for mobile devices.

ASUS also had a unique display of case modding products from top modders around the world at Computex.

Computer components

Modder Ai Mask has prepared a case called ROG Hog. Being a big fan of ROG brand devices and Harley-Davidson motorcycles®, he decided to translate his passions into the design of the case. The hardware configuration includes Rampage V Extreme X99 high performance motherboard for gamers and Matrix R9 290X graphics card.
