During the Computex 2016 exhibition ASUS held a press conference dedicated to gaming products ROG series and coincided with the 10th anniversary of the presence of the brand in the market.

ROG Avalon, the conceptual platform that anticipates the future of gaming PCs beyond traditional form factors, ROG Rampage V Edition 10, the anniversary version of ROG’s flagship motherboard, ROG G31 compact gaming PC and ROG GX800, the most powerful notebook, were all unveiled at the event. ROG Swift PG248Q Gamer with 180 Hz refresh rate, ROG Centurion Gamer Headset with 7x surround sound support, and other firsts also appeared in public.1 And the ROG XG Station 2 external graphics dock.

A new addition to the ROG lineup is the Strix sub-series, introduced with the ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card.

ROG Avalon: Conceptual motherboard and chassis hybrid

The 10th anniversary of the ROG series, which has released many innovative motherboards, was marked by the introduction of the ROG Avalon platform, a completely new computer form factor concept. By combining the motherboard and chassis into a single unit, ROG engineers optimized component placement to facilitate self-assembly. SSD, PSU and graphics card are plugged into the ROG Avalon through a board, not a cable, allowing easy access to each of these components. On top of that, the Z170 chipset-based motherboard has a modular backplane that allows you to customize the interfaces you see on the board. The ROG Avalon takes a glimpse into the future of what gaming platforms can become.

ROG G31 Edition 10: Compact gamer’s PC with unprecedented performance

ROG celebrated our tenth anniversary with the ROG G31 Edition 10, a compact ROG desktop with a case of only 20L, one-click overclocking system, and SLI-equipped NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics cards for Ultra-HD. It features a futuristic Mayan-inspired design and a high-performance cooling system with an evaporation chamber and hidden cooling ducts. Good sound fans will also appreciate the high-quality ESS digital to analogue converter with a dedicated headphone amplifier.

ROG GX800: The most powerful gaming notebook in the world

Taking up the baton from the world’s first water-cooled notebook ROG GX700, the ROG GX800 raises the performance bar even higher.

ROG GX800 combines the latest NVIDIA SLI graphics cards with an Intel K-Series processor in one hardware configuration. Two 330W power supplies provide stable performance. An upgraded dock-style water cooling system allows you to overclock the CPU, GPU and system memory for an extra boost in speed.
