ASUS announces the new ROG GX700, the Republic of Gamers ROG gaming notebook, featuring a water-cooling system in the form of a detachable Hydro Overclocking System docking station. The device is equipped with Intel’s sixth-generation mobile processor K-series “Skylake” and a powerful NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 graphics card. ROG GX700 is also the first notebook to feature an Ultra-HD display with NVIDIA G-SYNC technology.
ROG Hydro Overclocking System Docking Station
Unique to the ROG GX700 is the ROG Hydro Overclocking System docking station, which includes a water cooling system with a pump and dual heat sinks.
Patented notebook connection mechanism ensures efficient pumping of coolant without the risk of leaks. Carboxylate inhibitor in the refrigerant eliminates the need for anti-cavitation additives and the need for frequent system maintenance.
Ultimate overclocking potential
ROG Hydro Overclocking System docking station allows ROG GX700 users to get up to 48% boost in CPU performance. This gain is achieved by overclocking the processor from 3.2 to 4GHz.
Overclocking of DDR4 memory from 2133 to 2800 MHz is also available. That, coupled with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 graphics card, delivers blistering performance similar to mainstream PCs with top-of-the-line hardware configurations.
Ultra-HD Gaming
There are a lot of Ultra-HD notebook models available right now, but their performance is only good enough for video playback, not for playing such high resolution games. The 17-inch ROG GX700 sets itself apart by delivering blistering frame rates in modern gaming, even at its highest resolution of Ultra-HD.
The ROG GX700 also features NVIDIA G-SYNC technology, which synchronizes the refresh rate of the screen with the frame rate of the GPU. G-SYNC eliminates annoying tearing and reduces latency, resulting in both higher image quality and improved responsiveness to gamers.
Supercharged performance in any environment
With an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 desktop-class graphics card and overclocking capability via the ROG Hydro Overclocking System docking station, the ROG GX700 notebook offers unprecedented performance that’s better than standard gaming models.
It’s still the fastest single-GPU notebook, even with the docking station turned off. With a relatively thin and light chassis, the ROG GX700 is a truly mobile device that’s easy to take with you on vacation or to a gamer’s party.

ASUS ROG GX700 is now available from 399,900 Dollars.
