8K HDR TV Sony already in America

Sony showed new BRAVIA TVs of 2019 lineup for the first time in America: MASTER Series – 8K HDR, ZG9 series, 4K HDR TVs XG85 and XG95, new BRAVIA OLED series AG9 MASTER Series and AG8, 4K TVs XG80 and XG70.

The MASTER Series range brings you only the best Sony BRAVIA TVs, with superb picture quality, realistic color, high contrast and professional level clarity. In addition, the MASTER Series offer Netflix Calibrated Mode and IMAX Enhanced* to ensure faithful picture reproduction.

Center stage was given to ZG9 series 8K HDR-TV with full carpet LED backlighting and 8K resolution 7680×4320p .

Guests were able to view the new line of premium 4K HDR TVs – XG85 series and the flagship XG95 series – as well as the new AG9 MASTER Series and AG8 Series BRAVIA OLED.

The line of mid-priced 4K TVs was represented by XG80 and XG70 models.

Sony 8K HDR TV ZG9 Series

Center stage was given to the ZG9 series 8K HDR TV with full carpet LED backlighting and 8K resolution 7680×4320p .

With the X1™ Ultimate processor, it delivers up to four times the image detail of a 4K resolution, for a truly immersive experience.

With double the number of horizontal and vertical lines, 8K screens contain four times as many dots as 4K which is 16 times the resolution of HD .

Higher resolution delivers an impressive picture, so when you look at an 8K TV picture, even at close range, you can’t see individual pixels.

As screen size increases, so does the role of the processor in delivering premium picture quality.

The powerful X1™ Ultimate image processor with its patented algorithm has been optimized to handle 33 million pixels 8K HDR . And it supports our proprietary 8K X-Reality PRO technology, which upscales any content to 8K resolution using a new purpose-built 8K database, delivering greater picture detail.

With increasing TV size, accurate sound positioning becomes another key factor. Sony’s experience with acoustic technology in OLED TVs has been applied to the new 8K models.

Acoustic Multi-Audio™ system includes four front-facing speakers two below and two above the screen and a pair of tweeters on the back of the TV. This arrangement of audio sources allows you to get a balanced sound field – it seems that the sound comes from the central part of the screen, where the action takes place.

Additionally, the ZG9 added Center Speaker Mode for home theater.

Dolby Atmos*1 is also used to enhance sound effects for a wide and rich sound range.

In addition, brand new specialized 8K technologies have been developed for the ZG9 series, including Backlight Master Drive with full spectrum local dimming and 8K X-tended Dynamic Range PRO.

Backlight Master Drive technology in ZG9 models incorporates ultra-dense independently controlled LED modules that deliver unprecedented contrast with deep shadows and superior brightness. To get the most out of the backlight, 8K X-tended Dynamic Range PRO technology harnesses stored energy, intelligently boosting brightness in areas where it’s needed.ZG9 also uses X-Wide Angle technology to provide picture quality with minimal color distortion regardless of the viewing angle.

And X-Motion Clarity technology minimizes the blurring of fast-moving scenes, without sacrificing screen brightness.

8K HDR-TVs Sony ZG9 series with a diagonal of 98 and 85 inches will be available in America from August 2019.

Sony BRAVIA AG9 and AG8 series OLED TVs will be available in America from June, and the most senior model of the AG9 series 77″ from July 2019.

BRAVIA XG95 Series TVs, the top models among Sony BRAVIA LCD TVs with LED backlighting, impress not only by screen size screen size up to 85 ” , but also with a bright picture with excellent detail rendition.

Full matrix backlighting with X-tended Dynamic Range™ PRO technology to deliver up to 6x greater contrast than conventional LED TVs. The X-Motion Clarity feature guarantees crisp and smooth reproduction of fast movements – even the most dynamic scenes will remain as realistic as possible without sacrificing overall brightness. X-Wide Angle minimizes color fringing and delivers accurate shadows and vivid colors from any viewing angle**, while Netflix Calibrated Mode brings images to life the way content creators intended.

BRAVIA XG95-series TVs are already available in America, and 85″ models will go on sale in June.
