Sony has unveiled new BRAVIA TVs in America

Sony in New York presented a new range of BRAVIA TVs for the American market. Guests of the presentation were among the first in America who could see and evaluate the image quality of the new line of BRAVIA OLED AF8, 4K HDR TVs XF90 and XF85, XF80, XF75, XF70 series, as well as the new line of Full HD TVs with Android TV™ WF8.

The focus of attention was on the high-tech BRAVIA OLED televisions, providing an incredibly realistic experience, thanks to the deep black color and bright details, as well as the original acoustic technology Acoustic Surface. The sound in these models is transmitted by the whole surface of the screen. You could literally feel it when you put your hand to the TV’s front panel.

“Last year we introduced the flagship series of Sony BRAVIA OLED TVs in America for the first time. It is possible to note that these TV sets are of great interest for both the media and the American consumers. The positive evaluation of the novelty is also confirmed by a large number of international and regional awards, which the A1 model has received, largely due to the high image quality, original design and sound transmission technology Acoustic Surface. In 2018, in addition to the acclaimed A1 model, BRAVIA OLED TVs of AF8 series will appear on the American market, and we are pleased to announce that the price of the new model will already be more affordable than A1 models at the launch,” said General Director of Sony Electronics in America and the CIS, Mr. Fujita Takakiyo.

Guests were also shown the new BRAVIA 4K HDR LCD TV series for Android TV™. In a special demonstration area the capabilities of the new X-Motion Clarity technology were demonstrated, which allows showing a clear and smooth image even in very dynamic scenes, without affecting the brightness. Great for action movie buffs and sports fans.

“Following market trends and striving to maximize consumer satisfaction, in 2018 Sony is expanding its line of TVs with large screens of 55 inches or more, increasing the number of models with 4K HDR support by 20%, as well as expanding the line of BRAVIA TVs based on the Android TV operating system by 30%,” commented Denis Tyryshkin, Head of Marketing, Television Equipment Marketing Department of Sony Electronics Product Marketing Department in America and CIS countries.
