ZANUSSI: Now cooking in retro style

As progressive and spectacular as high-tech lines may look in the kitchen, fans of traditional classic design have not become fewer over the years.

On the contrary, in recent times, when the world has become somewhat tired of cold minimalism, more and more of those who choose the “classic way” for their kitchen.

This trend is well understood by designers and manufacturers of kitchen furniture, ready to offer us sets in any classic style.

You can choose the grand version in the imperial spirit with variations on the themes of antique columns, with patina and gilding, or a more restrained kitchen in the traditions of classicism.

Or opt for one of the country style varieties, such as Provencal style with whitewashed, aged surfaces, so that after a while you yourself will believe that you inherited this set from your French relatives.

But the furniture is only the beginning. The kitchen is an ensemble, where all participants are important. Technology plays a very special role. Because of its functionality, it must be the focal point and must not clash with its surroundings.

But while there’s almost no problem with a variety of cabinets these days, things are a little more complicated in the market for classic appliances.

Most models have a design that, for all its merits and versatility, is more suited to modern kitchens. The appearance of this technique is straightforward, extremely functional and almost devoid of decorative details.

Three colours of retro style

Italian brand ZANUSSI offers a solution. For classicists we’ve developed retro-style sets that will pair nicely with any classic kitchen.

Cooking hobs and ovens from the collection are available in three colors. “Antique white” – will fit perfectly in a light kitchen, for example, in the Provencal style.

“Matte black” – goes well with dark wood. “Copper” is particularly expressive of the mood of a traditional kitchen. Not without reason, decorators often use copper tableware for decoration in order to add a flavor of antiquity.

The entire collection has expressive retro features in its appearance. The oven window, for example, can have not usual rectangular shape, but semicircular, like an antique oven.

Eloquently complement the appearance of stylized temperature switches and handles, not straight like in modern models, but elegantly curved with shaped tips. We offer both electric and gas ovens.
