The explosion in the popularity of cloud-based file and object storage has created a new attack vector for attackers who use malware. File Storage Security for Cloud One Automatically scans files in the cloud to prevent attacks and ensure compliance with a variety of cloud regulations.

“Companies around the world regularly turn to cloud service providers to reduce their costs, enable business growth and improve IT agility. But the vendor is only responsible for the security of the cloud storage itself, and the customer is responsible for everything that happens in that environment,” said Mark Nunnikhoven, Trend Micro’s vice president of cloud research. – Our solution is an easily scalable and automated scanning tool that’s quick to deploy, requires no additional infrastructure, and will help organizations secure data in the cloud and elements of their cloud applications.”.

With more than 30 years of Trend Micro expertise in cybersecurity and cyber threat analysis, the tool blocks known malicious files and detects hidden or altered versions of malware. The scanner is a lightweight, native cloud-based tool that does not have a significant impact on customers’ operating costs. Also, its architecture ensures minimal time and ease of deployment and full integration with your organization’s workflows and environments.

The novelty will help companies ensure compliance with various regulations related to mandatory cloud file scanning for malware, without losing the sovereignty of stored data. File Storage Security for Trend Micro’s Cloud One platform is already compatible with AWS S3, and support for Microsoft Azure Blob storage and Google Cloud Storage service is coming in the near future.

With Cloud One, IT teams will be able to implement various services to protect infrastructure and data, and conduct compliance audits without negatively impacting the speed of cloud application development and deployment. Also, this single cloud security system is fully interoperable with existing AWS, Microsoft® Azure™, VMware® and Google Cloud™ tools
