Digital Microscope mode for observing miniature objects
The WG-10 features an innovative mode for observing and taking photos of objects that are barely visible to the naked eye. In this mode, the monitor displays a magnified image of miniature subjects and wildlife caught in the field of view, and the five macro LEDs around the circumference of the lens illuminate the subject more brightly and evenly than external light, for better photo quality.
To minimize camera shake and blurring of the moving subject, the Instant Light Boost function is used, allowing for higher shutter speeds and automatically raising the light level when the shutter is released.
Also included as standard accessories is a macro stand for easy maintenance of the minimum focal length 1 centimeter to the subject during long observations or shooting.

High-quality images are available thanks to new super-resolution technology
In addition to the high resolution of approximately 14.0 effective megapixels and advanced imaging technology, the WG-10 also offers advanced image processing features made available by the latest super-resolution technology to create clear, high-resolution images with minimal digital noise.
This makes it easy for the user to get sharp, high-resolution prints with well-defined details, even when the image is enlarged to poster size.
HD video recording
The WG-10’s movie recording feature captures blur-free HD video 1280 x 720 pixels, 16:9 aspect ratio, 30 frames per second with amazing ease.
The camera also offers a wide range of video editing features such as still image and title insertion at the beginning and end of clips. In addition, the camera body is equipped with a micro-HDMI connector type D , which serves for simultaneous output of HD video clips and audio to external devices.
Large 2.7″ LCD screen
The WG-10 features a large 2.7-inch color LCD screen with horizontally-expanded 16:9 aspect ratio and 230,000 dots of resolution. Proprietary PENTAX AR Anti-Reflection coating minimizes annoying glare and reflection to ensure sharp, clear images on the screen even in strong sunlight.
5x wide angle zoom lens
Despite its compact body, the WG-10 is equipped with a five-fold optical zoom lens with a focal range of 5 mm to 25 mm equivalent to 28 mm to 140 mm in 35 mm format . This versatile zoom lens is useful for a wide variety of scenes and subjects, from wide-angle shots of breathtaking landscapes to family photo and video shoots and use with friends.
The lens does not have any external moving parts and shutters, so it is virtually impossible to damage the high-end optics when using the camera.
Triple stabilization system for protection against various types of shocks
(1 Pixel Track SR mechanism
During the shooting processor WG-10 monitors the image shift, detects the effect of blurring and with the help of a unique software filter restores the picture. This technology is almost as good as optical image stabilization, but is still very compact and inexpensive.
(2 Digital SR mode*
If the camera detects low light levels when shooting still images, it automatically increases sensitivity to ISO 6400, allowing the use of higher shutter speeds to effectively minimize the negative effects of camera shake and jitter in low light conditions.
(3 Movie SR mode **
During movie recording, this digital stabilization mode effectively compensates for shake-induced picture shake using exclusive software, so that beautiful movie clips can be created without jerking the image to the eye.
