The new model is equipped with a 26x lens with a zoom range from super-wide angle to super-telephoto. ** In these modes, movies are recorded in VGA 640 x 480 pixels format only.

Versatile, practical power source AA cells

The PENTAX X-5 will go everywhere with ease as it can be powered by four AA cells, which are readily available everywhere. Take as many shots as you want and never have to change the batteries so often when you’re in the middle of a photo shoot, the X-5 can snap about 330 shots* with conventional alkaline batteries thanks to energy-saving technology.

Friendly Auto Picture mode for automatically selecting the most appropriate shooting mode

PENTAX X-5 has a proprietary mode Auto Picture, which automatically evaluates the shooting conditions, the scene in the frame and selects the best shooting program a total of 16 , such as Scenery, Portrait, Candles and Animals.
