Test 1: at the meeting arrived in a black tuxedo

The Chinese guest arrived to us in a black tuxedo and captivated us by its elegance and malleable character: assembling it easily without resistance, making no effort and breaking your nails. The test group noted a somewhat contradictory nature of the design: there are elements in it that are thoroughly thought out and convenient, and there are, in our opinion, those in need of improvement. To be fair we will say that the first ones are bigger.

I liked the design of the hose: it is inserted into the body and fixed by gentle turning until it clicks, the connection to the telescopic tube is protected by a special “gate”, preventing hose breakage a similar technology used in good headphones . Moreover, one end of the hose can be undone and dismantled if something gets stuck and prevents suction, this obstacle can easily be removed.

The handle is rubber coated, non-slip, ergonomically shaped – very comfortable, the hand does not get tired at all. There is a mechanical valve under the thumb, you can use it to adjust the airflow rate without leaning over to the body to switch the power using the rotary knob located there.

The drawback is the telescopic tube: no, it is durable and can be moved without any effort, but it would be better if it could be moved from the top instead of from the bottom, it was not too convenient.

I also liked the fact that the delivery set includes a reusable cloth dust bag and the whole set includes 3 paper dust bags. Disposable bags are more hygienic and are best to use, but what if they run out at the wrong moment – a situation we are all familiar with! But if you have a reusable bag can always use the vacuum cleaner. Dust bags with flaps that close the dustbag opening when the dustbag is removed, hygienic and proper!

On the body of the vacuum cleaner there is a mechanical indicator of the filling of the dust bag if the indicator switches to red, the bag is full.

Note the lightness and compactness of the model, it is easy to carry by the handle and easy to store in an upright position: the flat body and attachment for vertical parking of the tube allows the model to stand without problems behind a door, in a corner or in a cabinet and literally turn into an invisible. By the way, the tube can also be conveniently secured to the body of the vacuum cleaner when it is not in use, when the vacuum cleaner is in a horizontal position.

The range of the vacuum cleaner is average – 7 meters, but it’s enough for an average “two-ranger”. Larger rooms will need to change the socket.

Test 2: tips and nozzles

The main nozzle is attached to the tube without fixing the position, you will have to adjust it yourself, but it’s not difficult. The floor/mop switch, which extends and retracts the bristles, is soft enough and well-locked, no worries that it will fail quickly. The brush head has a flexible base that not only increases maneuverability, it also prevents loss of suction power.

The Mini Turbo Brush for upholstered furniture perfectly catches pet hair and hair: the roller revolves quickly, driven by a powerful stream of air. We took apart the brush and cleaning roller and put it back and reassembled the nozzle just as easily.

In the case there is a small compartment to store two small nozzles – a crevice just a shame that it is a bit short and with natural bristles for furniture. This is great: small nozzles are always getting lost, and here the chances of them getting lost are not very high. The natural bristle brush head can be used to clean furniture, books, and appliances.

Test 3: Garbage collection

The garbage mixture for the dough is not a difficult thing: some different groats, flour, tea, torn paper, potting soil, dried grass… It looks unappetizing, but even worse when it all ends up on the floor. Not only do we want to pick up trash, we also want to test if the model is really quiet. We have switched the vacuum cleaner on at full power – the noise level is not so loud, but it can’t be called very low, either.

It was immediately clear that the motor has developed a huge speed and suction power will wow! But we decided to lower it: with a rotary switch on the body, we set the medium power. The noise level immediately decreased drastically. We tried vacuuming and the debris whistled into the nozzle. There was too much power, albeit medium, so we decided to reduce it to the minimum. The result was surprising: the vacuum cleaner was nearly inaudible, and the garbage was removed with the same ease and speed.

Of course the result is great: a lot of garbage was removed in seconds and almost no noise, but still we worked with a new garbage bag, and it was about one third full we made the garbage in a one-liter container, and the volume of the bag is 3 liters . Then we decided to vacuum all of our editorial areas – 2 large rooms, the chief’s office, the server room and the test room, and even went into the huge common hallway, because it has carpeting and we wanted to clean and carpeting.

The result – yes, I had to increase the power to medium especially on the carpet , but the most powerful stage was required perhaps once – to clean the radiators with a crevice nozzle.

You have to increase the power as well with the turbo brush, because it’s not electric: the roller spins in the airflow. The test is always fun: the day before, all the pet owners in the editorial office were asked to bring their pets’ hair and get it all over the computer chairs and the sofa we have no other upholstered furniture in the office . One employee ended up forgetting that her chair was covered in white Persian chinchilla hair and sat on it. Turns out that the miniature brush is great for cleaning not only furniture, but also suit cloths!

At last the indicator light in the dustbin has let us know that it is time to change the bag. I must say that the suction power of course dropped a little bit as the bag got full, but this is absolutely normal for a bag vacuum cleaner. But it has plenty of power to spare: You can simply turn it up and vacuum until the bag is full.

Test 4: care – just get rid of the dust

After the general cleaning of the office and the surrounding area we decided to check the condition of the filters. We had to shake the motor filter and rinse the sponge filter, it was pretty dirty, but the HEPA filter looked like we vacuumed it up a bit: we gave it a little shake and almost nothing.

This means that the filtration system up to it is such that the load on the HEPA is minimal, it will not quickly clog and will have to change it. It can not be washed, only cleaned with a dry brush. It’s a shame that the user manual doesn’t provide any information about when to use the HEPA filter.

Test 5: easy reading instructions

Clear, though brief, well translated, printed in a quite readable typeface on good paper. Illustrated with photos, which, frankly, could have been bigger.

In our opinion, the brochure lacks information on how to disassemble and clean the turbo brush it is not explained what is the “floor” and what is the “carpet” position, although practice shows that many users do not understand this and use vacuum cleaners incorrectly: for the floor they do not extend the bristles, which results in sucking the nozzle and leaves no space for air passage. The result is that we clean less efficiently and use more energy.

Silent work and good suction power at the minimum input power, 2 kinds of dust-filter bags, high maximum input and suction power, storage of nozzles in the case, thought over design of a hose, HEPA-filter. Very handy ergonomic handle, the suction power can be adjusted on both the body and the handle. Compact, lightweight, easy to store and carry. Elegant black case.

At maximum power, the noise level is usual for the representatives of the bag segment of vacuum cleaners, the slot nozzle is a little short although this makes it possible to store it in the case , the telescopic tube extends from the bottom, not from above, that is not very convenient for work. Its lacquered body and stainless steel tubing show off your fingerprints so you can keep your handsome boy looking sharp, and it needs care.

Conclusions and requests

Very decent model with a low noise level, comfortable enough design, only the most necessary attachments and very high suction power, hygienic and practical, requiring a minimum of consumables, compact and easy to work and store. Small faults exist, but they do not spoil the impression. The main one is unfortunate telescopic tube extension system. And the crevice nozzle should be … moved apart somehow. In short, there’s room to grow!
