DESIGN

The device combines structural simplicity with an elegant classic design. Vertical lines on the side panel accentuate the slimness and lightness of the appliance. Each heating element switches with a separate button. The thermostat is adjusted by rotary knob.

PARAMETERS

This is the only model for which the recommended voltage is 220 V. Claimed power rating: 2 kW. But the measurement result showed that the real power of the device is 1576 kW. The difference of -21,2% does not correspond to the GOST norms and shows that the manufacturer deceives, passing off his device as more powerful than it really is.

Of course, with such a power it takes 13 min. 10 sec. for the heater to heat up, but that’s not the final result! There are slower appliances in the test.

Side heat radiation efficiency of only 2.05°C. This shows that all the heat is rushing upward.

FUNCTIONAL PARAMETERS

The heater showed very good results.

10 sq.m. room. It heated up to 10°C in only 1 hour and 10 minutes, which was the second result of the test! At the same time, it took only 1.82 kW of electricity – that’s 2nd place again!

The heater maintains the set temperature in the room by operating at maximum and turning off periodically for 5 minutes. Energy consumption for maintaining the set temperature is 1.32 kW. Here the heater has lost its leading position.

The temperature fluctuations in the room are only 1°C. Practically imperceptible. And the temperature “runs away” from the set level after a few hours, also only by about 1°C. This is the best indicator of the test.

USABILITY

The heater came in second place for usability. This is a great result, which we were able to get thanks to the high scores on each point.

Standard installation – with the heater turned upside down and the wheels screwed on.

The inclusion and switching of heating stages is undoubtedly a plus: each heating element is responsible for its own switch, each switch has its own indicator.

This is the only heater in the test, which received the highest score for ease of movement. Easy movement with good castors and a flip-up handle with finger protection.

During storage, the power cord is completely wound onto a reel, and the plug is “plugged” into an improvised outlet on it, securing the cord.

The hygiene is also on the level: the housing is smooth, there is almost no place for dust to accumulate.

The instructions are modern, colorful, with pictures, combined with the warranty card.

But there are some remarks, too: The thermostat knob is slightly jammed and the marks for the heating stages are “vague and not clearly visible”.

SAFETY

The “Do Not Cover” label in American is on the heater to remind you not to dry your clothes on it.

No contact with live parts.

The heater is resistant to mechanical hazards – it stands firmly on a horizontal surface with a 15° slope and withstands a shock that simulates an accidental bump on the device.

Unfortunately, not all requirements of the American State Standard for Safety meets this heater:

In the instruction manual, there is no indication of the prohibition to install the device in the vicinity of the outlet

Deviation of the rated power measured at rated voltage is – 21.2%, which is not within the standards of GOST

Temperature of external surfaces reaches 142 ° C, which is much higher than the requirements of GOST

In the “abnormal operation” test, the heater failed both tests: strips of felt, imitating forgotten clothing, heated over 150 ° C, which is prohibited by GOST, and when you topple the heater working hot, its surface temperature exceeded the maximum allowable value

the power cord, which has PVC insulation, may touch the metal parts of the heater, which are hotter than 75°C.
