Control is simple. Unlike many “smart” teapots, Scarlett SC-EK27G41 has mode switching buttons not located on the base, but on the handle. “+” and “-” select the mode, the display is activated at the selected temperature, then press the ON button and the process is started.
A little harder with the mode of temperature maintenance. To activate it you need to know the algorithm of actions, and for this you need to look at the instructions. You may surprise your loved ones who neglected to read this document: after heating the water and turning off the kettle, press the power button for 3 seconds, and the kettle will hold the selected temperature for half an hour with the backlight on.
The lid of the kettle opens when the button is pressed. At the same time it does not jump up suddenly, trying to hit you on the nose, as it sometimes happens with these devices, and first slightly open and only a couple of seconds to open at 90 degrees.

Test #1. Checking the time

Therefore, we check:

50 ° C = 51-52 ° C

Test #3. Measuring power and noise level
Power output when heated – 1840-1860 W, the noise level &asymp 25-30 dB.
The kettle, indeed, works very quietly. During its operation it is not necessary to turn up the TV sound, and you can guess about the beginning of the heating process only by the working backlight.
The manufacturer recommends to boil water with citric acid and leave the solution for 12 hours before use, then boil and rinse the kettle with clean water.
I did not do this, just boiled water and poured this portion into the sink.
And, although I am very picky and sensitive to fragrances, this kettle does not have a specific smell, often inherent in new appliances.
In the future, if you want to always admire the transparency of glass and beautiful backlight, do not be lazy to clean the kettle from scale, using a solution of citric acid.
