CONTROL
Simple enough. The menu is russified and easy to understand. You can figure it out in about five minutes, and then you don’t have to look at the manual.
Everything starts with setting the time, date and day of the week. This is done with the “setting”, “+”, “-” buttons.
Below are three more buttons: Function selection, Cancel, Quick start 30. You can select cooking time, microwave power, autoprograms, and food weight by turning the rotary knob.
The Quick Start button is, of course, the most frequently used. It allows you to heat a bowl of soup or potatoes with a cutlet in 1 to 2 minutes.
TEST #1. LITTLE CLOCK GOES ON AND ON
On the display of MideaEasyChef320 there is a clock that shows the exact time, a calendar – year, month, day and a thermometer that displays the temperature in the kitchen. The last indicator does not need to be set, a built-in sensor captures and displays the value automatically. Of course, the thermometer works when the oven is “resting”, but this feature is disabled during cooking.
The most unexpected and nice – when you turn off the microwave from the mains the clock and calendar continue to work. It’s a small thing, of course, but our whole life is made up of little things. And now at any failure in the network or after returning from vacation, and just after unplugging the microwave oven from the socket, you will not have to waste precious minutes of your life on resetting the time and calendar.
The battery that powers this unit is CR2032 3V – hidden under the control panel. You just need to pull the lid to get it out.
We “started” the clock, and then unplugged the microwave from the mains overnight: the time did not go off, and after connecting to electricity the device did not have to reprogram again.
By the way, one more important detail: The alarm for the end of the work sounds five times, but if you open the door, the sound stops. Not all ovens in this price niche have this feature. Meanwhile, it is not superfluous in the early morning or at night, when everyone is asleep and unnecessary noise is not welcome.
TEST #2. TURN BACKWARDS TOWARDS THE FOREST AND BACKWARDS TOWARDS ME
There are such little things, which at first glance are unnoticeable and insignificant, but in fact greatly simplify life.Microwave auto-rotate plates are just one of them. The bottom line is this: in what position do you put the pot on the turntable, and in what position does it stay after cooking. If you put the cup with the handle towards you, the handle will be in front of you when you open the oven door. It’s actually very convenient: you don’t have to turn the hot container, just grab the handle and pull it out.
We tested this feature on purpose: we put a glass of water and set different times, and during the other tests. Always turn the dish the right way.
TEST #3. EVERYTHING ON AUTOMATIC

In total, 42 automatic programs. This is a lot, especially when you remember that we are not describing a premium product, but an oven that is affordable to many.
For example, I wouldn’t dare to cook complicated soups like meat soup in automatic mode, but simpler things like side dishes – why not?.
Buckwheat 300 g cooks in the microwave for about 30 minutes. The beauty of cooking – no need to change the temperature, put it on and forget it. The result is very good, everything cooked fine. Makes a great side dish for meatballs.

TEST # 4. HEATING
DEFROSTING
One of the most common operations required is to quickly defrost foods for cooking.
And right away the oven was delighted not only by the choice of defrosting by time or by weight, but also by the great range of mass: from 100 g to 2 kg.
The program of choice by weight is, of course, is preferable, since it allows you to conduct the defrosting process gently and efficiently.
The aim of our test was to check that the food is not overheated on the edges, while the middle remains unfrozen.
We used frozen mushrooms. Took them out of the freezer compartment of the refrigerator. The infrared camera showed a temperature of -12° C in the center of the mushroom “ice floe” and about -10° C at the edges. Weighed the bag on the scale, then placed the plate with the mushrooms in the microwave oven. We set the mode – defrosting, we indicated the weight, the oven automatically determined the time it would need in this case about 10 minutes . At the end of the program we measured the temperature with a thermal imaging camera.
You can see all the details in the video. Here I will share my impressions. The most important thing is that there was no overheating! Of course, the middle was a little frozen – the temperature was a little below zero, but on the edges – the mushrooms were completely defrosted. But they were cold to the touch! This confirms the proper selection of the program algorithm, because you do not have to face a situation in which the middle of the defrosted product is still icy, and the product is already warm on the edges.
TEST #5. “I’M ON MY SOFT FEET WHEN I SMELL IT
Checking the odor-removal mode.
It is required to put a bowl of water on the turntable with a slice of lemon in it, press the “Function/Timer” button four times, the display will show “CL”, then press the “+30 seconds/Start” button to start the process.
We have checked this methodology: after defrosting the fish mackerel we have done everything as recommended by the manufacturer. The method works perfectly! 6 minutes was enough that the fish “is not a memory”. We wiped down the microwave, and it was ready for new culinary exploits.
DESIGN
