Unpacking
Vacuum cleaner Starwind SRV7550packed in a neat flat cardboard box, has a handle to carry – easy to carry from the store.
Design
Starwind SRV7550 round robot vacuum cleaner, black with gray trim.
On the front is a movable bumper that protects the furniture from shocks.
At the back is a removable dust canister, which is replaced by a unit with a water tank and a special nozzle for wiping the floor.
Dimensions: 320×320×85 mm.
Vacuum bag capacity: 350 ml.
Water container: 300 ml.
The top panel is black with a glossy finish. Looks stylish and smart, but there are “fingerprints” and visible dust – you need to wipe it periodically with a microfiber cloth to keep it clean and beautiful.
Turning the vacuum cleaner
Rides on three wheels: large at the sides, a small at the front, it changes the direction of the robot.
The main cleaning is performed by turbo-brush, trash is “raked” by two side brushes.
On the bottom there is also a button to turn on the vacuum cleaner. This location is not the most convenient, it would be better if it was on the side: you would not have to turn the vacuum cleaner. But since you do not need to turn off this button all the time, it is not a major inconvenience.
Sensors
A pair of height difference sensors protect the device from falling down steps. Two more sensors help to find and avoid obstacles. It is necessary to wipe them periodically, so they don’t lose sensitivity and work well.

Charging station
Compact 17×13 cm, height 9 cm.
The length of the power cord 180 cm. It is possible to find a comfortable place for the base – as long as it has enough space to maneuver the robot.
By the way, we haven’t turned on the cable TV if the charging station was next to the vacuum cleaner. But if the TV already worked, the vacuum cleaner and the station did not interfere with each other.
Recall that you should not put the base near the working radiators and in a place where the sunlight enters this applies to all robots .
Control
The Starwind SRV7550 robot vacuum cleaner is controlled in three different ways:
- With the power button on the top panel
- with remote control
- Through the application on your smartphone
In addition, the voice assistant helps to solve problems in time clean the dust canister, move it to a flat surface, etc. .d.
Power button
The vacuum cleaner begins to clean automatically: it follows a random path, plotting the map of the room in its memory. When restarting it corrects the memory map according to the changing environment.

Features of use
You must put two AAA batteries, they are not included.
The remote control is quite handy with big buttons and understandable signs. Only had to use the manual once: when setting the cleaning schedule. Got it right the first time. Very helpful is the voice assistant, which tells you whether the mode worked or not.
Additional modes activate quickly, literally at the touch of a button. The voice assistant informs about their changes.
The buttons “right” and “left” do not work as clearly as I would like them to. When you press them, the vacuum cleaner stops sucking dust, turns in a given direction in the same mode as when it goes to the base. But as soon as you stop pressing the button, the cleaner turns on and automatically goes right back to where you were going. A stubborn robot!

Voice Assistant
You cannot talk to the Starwind SRV7550 robotic vacuum cleaner, ask it questions or voice commands. But you can listen. It tells you what it is going to do and what difficulties it encounters.
His voice is female, a little tired, smooth, quiet. It’s fun to hear the message “Glad to help” spoken in that timbre.
It would be nice if the assistant gave you instructions on how to fix the problem, but it is good to know the reason why the robot stopped.

Dry mode
Floor
Starwind SRV7550 robot vacuum cleaner is designed for cleaning hard floors. It feels very confident on them, easily moves in different directions, collects small debris and dust with high quality. Can suck up a dry leaf from a plant or a candy wrapper, but in this case it is more likely to shut down, cleaning the vacuum cleaner.
It is interesting that when cleaning a square room of 20 square meters in automatic mode, the robot moved persistently and carefully along the left side, less willing to look at the right side.
The Starwind SRV7550 robot vacuum cleaner “hits” the obstacles rather hard: it can move a cardboard box, overturn a bowl of water left for the cats – such things are better to clean.
- If it gets caught between a sofa and a chair, for example, it gives a little squeak to get out of the trap. But it can crawl back into the same place in five minutes.
- Does not like the thresholds: got stuck firmly in a two-inch “hole” between the corridor and the closet and could not get over a three-inch thresholds in the kitchen and bathroom.

Carpet
Starwind SRV7550 robot vacuum cleaner easily crawls on carpets and rugs with pile size up to 5 cm and accurately collects dust and dirt from them. Carpet will not be an obstacle in finding the way back to the base.
Thin mats, such as those used in bathrooms or hallways, can wrap up under the vacuum cleaner, and then it slips and requires to be placed on a flat surface.
“Wet” mode
Of course, wet mopping can’t replace a full-fledged floor cleaning, but if you leave it alone and let it roam across the room, it will wipe the floors wherever it can reach, including under cupboards and chairs. Only needs to close the way to rooms with carpets on the floor.
Way to base
The way home in Starwind SRV7550 robot vacuum cleaner can take a long time and take the robot far enough from the base. Interestingly, it can sometimes move away from it. But always returns and is set to charge.
Cleaning the dust bag
