Sony Alpha A3000 mirrorless camera review

An odd product – an entry-level mirrorless camera in a large body – has a perfectly reasonable justification for its existence. The uninformed shopper, coming to the store, chooses a basic and inexpensive camera.

Everything is clear with the first criterion: for neophytes the example of solidity is a SLR, so the A3000 is made in a similar to it form factor. For some reason for a long time the manufacturer could not fully meet the second criterion, because the “starting” camera entered the market at a very low starting price. But now the balance has somewhat evened out, not least because most of the other “sistemos” have become considerably more expensive.

However, to recommend the model is difficult, but probably do not need: the purchase of such a camera can only be spontaneous. The film-makers had to save a lot of money on just about everything. A3000 stands out for its atypical Sony design and inexpensive materials. Makers spared no expense for a quality display and viewfinder. Good performance sensor and processor, proven in other cameras, here are in their retarded pairing with a small and slow buffer memory. With such a substantial size of the body, the built-in flash could have been made much more powerful. By weight A3000 can compete with the flagship series A7, it is also heavier than many budget SLRs.
