A camera that fits comfortably in your hand and has plenty of controls for creative shooting, the α3000 looks and feels just right for anyone who wants to shoot flawless pictures. Equipped with a clear electronic viewfinder that lets you frame your shots with confidence, and a newly designed grip that makes you hold the camera even more comfortably, securely, and steadily.

Sony A3000 SLR camera

  • The large APS-C Exmor™ sensor delivers an effective 20.1 megapixel resolution for professional-quality still images and Full HD video
  • Frame your viewfinder with the crisp and bright Tru-Finder
  • Choose from 18 interchangeable lenses with E-mount – the creative possibilities are endless
  • Comfortable grip with new grip

Picture quality that’s a revelation for anyone used to taking pictures with a compact camera fitted with a fixed focal length lens. Inside the α3000 is a large 20.1-megapixel Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor. With its growing collection of E lenses, it is the key to impeccably detailed shots, from individual portraits and street scenes to gorgeous landscapes. Equally impressive is Full HD video, which features 50i or 25p modes, allowing you to focus on crisp action or smooth cinematic motion, depending on what your subject requires.

The larger sensor also increases sensitivity, capturing more light and suppressing image noise, allowing clear images and video in low light, when the tiny sensor in your compact camera or smartphone is so often disappointing.

Just a joy to frame in the crisp, bright Tru-Finder electronic viewfinder with 100% field coverage – exactly what you’d expect from a high-end DSLR. The electronic viewfinder displays a wealth of additional information, including the grid. No guesswork: Instant preview of exposure settings lets you compose your shot with even more confidence.

As you perfect your craft, add accessories by mounting them on the Multi Interface Shoe™ to further enhance your shooting experience. Effortlessly create professional-looking lighting effects with the powerful new HVL-F43M, which uses Sony’s unique Quick Shift Bounce system for bounce shooting. Record better soundtracks and sharper dialogs with the ECM-XYST1M stereo microphone. Or bring your party and action shots indoors to life with the HVL-LEIR1 battery powered LED infrared video light.

Photographers with more artistic ambitions shouldn’t feel left out. Offers a palette of 15 artistic image special effects such as Retro Photo, Miniature and Partial Color. Auto Object Framing clearly frames portraits, close-ups and even moving subjects for a perfect, professional result.

Unlike typical point-and-shooters, the α3000 gives you the creative freedom to choose from 18 interchangeable lenses with E mount from Sony and Carl Zeiss, including two converters, and the SEL50F18 portrait lens with new black barrel. Choose from telephoto, wide-angle and macro lenses with a variety of zoom ranges for travel and everyday.

The new Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar T* E 16-70mm F4 ZA OSS SEL1670Z is a versatile mid-range zoom lens with built-in Optical SteadyShot for sharper handheld shots. Attaches the first Sony G Lens™ for E-mount cameras. The new E PZ 18-105mm F4 G OSS SELP18105G is a high-end, versatile lens with Optical SteadyShot image stabilization and a smooth, silent zoom that is great for shooting both Full HD movies and stills.
