Introducing the new FUJIFILM X-E3, an ultra-compact mirrorless rangefinder-style camera that offers excellent image quality and usability. The X-E3 features a 24.3-megapixel X-TransTM CMOS III sensor and high-speed X-Processor Pro image processor. X-E3 is the first X series model with Bluetooth Low Energy wireless technology. You can connect your camera to your smartphone or tablet for easy, energy-saving image transfer. The LCD display on the back of the camera features a touch panel that supports the convenient “Touch Shot”, “Touch AF” focus by touch and “Focus Area Selection” functions.

The X-E3 will be available with an upgraded touch operation that enables gesture control, such as swiping and pinch-to-zoom, making it easier to operate the touch display. The autofocus algorithm has been updated to better track moving objects. The great looks, versatility and functional beauty of this mirrorless camera will make the X-E3 a joy to use.

Compact and lightweight body for exceptional mobility and practicality

Fujifilm has redesigned the body of the FUJIFILM X-E2, released in November 2013, to create the smallest and lightest viewfinder model in the X series line of interchangeable-lens cameras. The form factor makes it perfect for everyday use and travel photography. Well-proportioned and ergonomically designed so you can hold it comfortably in your hand. The new model also supports “Focus lever”, a popular function first introduced in FUJIFILM X-Pro2, which lets you instantly change the focus area without having to take your eye off the viewfinder.

Two dials on top of the X-E3 body for shutter speed control and exposure compensation. When you switch settings, those high-quality aluminum dials make a sweet clicking sound. The exposure compensation dial now has a “C” position that provides exposure compensation up to ± 5 stops in 1/3-stop increments, expanding the photographer’s options. Also features a lever to toggle the camera into fully-automatic Advanced SR Auto mode, which automatically selects the optimum settings for the situation.

Great image quality, fast response and enhanced tracking autofocus

The X-E3 features a 24.3-megapixel APS-C X-TransTM CMOS III sensor and high-speed X-Processor Pro for unparalleled image quality and responsiveness. Large phase detection AF area and an updated algorithm for maximum AF speed of 0.06 sec.

The X-E3 also offers continuous shooting with a real-time display at 5fps, a start-up time of 0.4s, a shutter lag of just 0.05s, and an inter-frame interval of 0.25s. Track moving subjects twice as fast as previous models, thanks to a new image recognition algorithm. In addition, the X-E3 can track moving subjects in half the size of before.

Enhanced connectivity through Bluetooth wireless technology

First X-Series camera with Bluetooth® capability. Connect it to your smartphone or tablet before you shoot, and easily transfer your shots to your smartphone or tablet using the FUJIFILM Camera Remote app.

Updated intuitive touch interface

Features a 3.0-inch 1.04-megapixel LCD touch screen. Switching on the touch panel settings lets you perform the following operations in shooting and playback modes:

Shooting modes

• Select focus area. Move the focus point to the desired position by tapping your finger on the LCD screen.

• Touch of LCD monitor. Press to focus on a specific point, then take a picture.

Playback modes

• Swiping. Slide your finger across the screen to scroll through images one by one.

• Double-tap zoom. Double-tap the screen to zoom in, centered on the active focus point after the picture is taken.

• Drag and drop. Moving your finger across the screen when the image is enlarged will move it within the frame.

• Zooming in. Place two fingers on the screen and zoom in between to enlarge the image.

• Zoom out. When the image is zoomed in, place two fingers on the screen and zoom out to zoom in and view the last 9 images.

• All touch screen functions turn off when touch panel settings are turned off.

The X-E3 also offers a “Touch Function” mode, where you can use up-down and right-left swiping to recall pre-assigned functions. Use drag and drop on the touch screen to change the location of the focus area without even taking your eyes off the EVF. In the EVF touch screen area settings, you can activate touch display operation for ALL, RIGHT, LEFT, or turn OFF. .

High resolution and 4K high definition video recording

The X-E3 is capable of recording Full HD and 4K video with FUJIFILM’s famous film simulation modes. You can output the video you shot to an external monitor via HDMI and record audio from an external microphone.

25 High-end FUJINON lenses with X-mount for maximum versatility

Now, with today’s announcement of the FUJINON XF80mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR Macro, our XF lens range consists of 25 models. The current lineup ranges from ultra-wide-angle to telephoto, including five fast lenses with fixed focal lengths. These lenses let you get the most out of the X-E3 in terms of image quality. Shooting options can also be expanded with optional accessories such as adapters and macro rings.
