Samyang Announces XP 50mm F1 Lens.2 For full frame DSLR cameras with Canon EF mount. XP 50mm F1.2 is the third lens in the premium XP series, created under the slogan “Excellence in Performance. Delivering high image quality, the XP 50mm F1.2 is designed to strengthen the company’s position in the premium lens market.
XP 50mm F1.2 specially designed for DSLR cameras that use a sensor with a resolution of over 50MP for stills and 8K for movies. The lens is constructed with 11 elements in eight groups, including one aspherical lens and one high refractive index lens. All elements are multi-coated.
The lens delivers low distortion, high resolution and minimal artifacts such as chromatic aberration, false outlines and flare. 9-bladed aperture at maximum opening ensures soft background blur forming a beautiful bokeh, which makes the lens an ideal tool for portrait photography.
