Sometimes the appearance of a device is determined entirely by the design. The air conditioner’s inner block has a non-standard shape that increases the performance.

Design

The external appearance of the model causes ambiguous feelings. The first emotion, appearing at the sight of a conditioner is astonishment: not often you will meet an internal unit of a triangular form. As you become more familiar with the appliance it becomes clear that every line and detail is a reflection of its capabilities.

The front and the top of the block have a rounded shape. Overlay chrome element is used for the separation of the surfaces, which is invisible against the background of a snow-white housing. All space at the top is occupied by a filter element with a decorative grid. The air filters of the conventional models are generally hidden from view. However, SAMSUNG designers managed to make them look stylish and tidy.

The vertical louvers made in dark blue color look very impressive. The appliance looks quite futuristic. It will suit fans of all unusual and original.

Design

To make the air conditioning of the room more productive, the company’s engineers increased the area of the input part. Thus, compared to traditional designs, it lets more air through, which has a positive effect on heating or cooling efficiency.

Thanks to such shape of the indoor unit, it was possible to significantly increase the size of the fan. The air outlet has a larger area, which provides an unobstructed exit of the air stream.

The air is cleaned with a high-density FULL HD filter. Unlike the traditional primary filters it has a little bit more efficiency. Thanks to its surface-coated anti-bacterial coating, the filter is effective against bacteria and viruses. It is also necessary to note quite original construction of the filtering element itself. It is a decorative grid with the filtering material fixed on it. In traditional split-systems the primary filter is located inside the unit, which makes its cleaning more difficult. In this model, the filter is attached directly to the surface of the housing, which greatly simplifies its maintenance.

The louver position can be adjusted electromechanically. The horizontal flap position is set directly from the remote control, and the vertical flow guides are adjusted manually by the user.

Functionality

Split-system is provided with a two-stage cooling mode. In order to decrease as soon as possible the temperature in a premise the device sets the fan of the indoor unit on the maximal rotational speed. When the aim is reached, a split-system automatically maintains a set temperature.

There is also a function of the increased productivity, called Fast. In this case a conditioner provides the most powerful air stream. Owners of apartments located on the sunny side or on the top floor will definitely appreciate this option. The function can be activated only in a cooling mode, in case of heating it is necessary to use manual regulation.

To ensure maximum comfort and protection from unwanted effects of cold air there is a “Comfort” mode. If it is activated, all the user has to do is to set the temperature. The device, based on the indicators of built-in sensors, automatically adjusts the fan rotation speed.

The special Single User function helps to save the budget. The basic idea is to reduce the target temperature range. So, when you turn on this option, the minimum possible temperature will be 24 degrees. Of course, the higher the value, the less energy is used to cool the room. This function also automatically activates swinging operation of the horizontal door leaf. Flow rate can be independently selected.

We would like to pay special attention to night mode Good sleep. Samsung engineers have conventionally divided it into three stages: falling asleep, sleeping period, waking. To make falling asleep quick and pleasant, the air conditioner will slightly lower the ambient air temperature. In the sleeping period, to prevent overcooling, on the contrary, the temperature will slightly increase. Before waking up directly, the indoor unit fan will work intermittently as if to simulate the natural wind. If you wish, you can change the standard duration of this option, as well as the target temperature.

Control

Standard remote control is used to control the unit. Thanks to its ergonomic shape it fits comfortably in your hand. Buttons are of medium size and spaced far apart. Not only the set temperature and fan speed are perfectly readable on the large LCD display, but also the smaller function and mode indicators.

This model also has a built-in 24-hour on/off timer. If you set the desired time during the first three hours, the step is half an hour, then one hour. This option allows you to select the air conditioner operation mode, and set the desired temperature. Possibility to activate ON/OFF timer simultaneously.

Comfort and care

To prevent unpleasant odor, this model has a special auto-cleaning mode for the indoor unit. If it is activated after turning off the air conditioner, the fan of indoor unit continues to work for some time, thus ridding the evaporator of moisture accumulated during operation.
