Online store Zakazhi changes order delivery system

Since April of this year, a popular online store “Zakazi” zakazi24 is completely changing the system of delivery of orders to customers. The “Zakazhi” electronic hypermarket continues to implement the new development policy as part of the Simtex holding. At the time of purchase in April last year the hypermarket “Zakazhi” had a network of 16 points of delivery orders in … cities. After a thorough audit, a new project development program was designed to optimize costs, improve efficiency.

Unprofitable outlets were gradually closed. And in April of the current year it was decided to fundamentally change the delivery system. The new scheme involves the use of space and resources of the partner chain stores, which have their own logistics and competent staff. So, ordering a product at the “Zakazhi” internet hypermarket it will be possible to pick it up at the nearest store of a partner chain. And the first such partner will be a network of “Tekhnoshok”.

Victor Gordeichuk, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Simtex Company:

“All possible ways of further development of “Zakazhi” have been worked out by us practically since the purchase of the project. We almost immediately decided to close several unprofitable outlets, and then continued to analyze the cost-effectiveness of the outlet. By April of this year, realizing that the share of logistics costs reached about 50% of the margin, it became clear that the system must be changed.

The maintenance of a large and extensive network can only become profitable with the application of an aggressive marketing policy over several years. Looking at the development of this market sector and international experience, it’s safe to say that sooner or later all online stores will switch to alternative ways of delivery, including the active use of postal services.

We worked out different options and looked at the experience of other major electronic stores and found, in our opinion, an effective model – the combination of an electronic trading platform with retail networks on a partnership basis. The essence of the idea that the online store can reduce overhead costs by using the resources of retail stores. Retailers will benefit from obtaining additional profits by leasing space in their sales outlets.

The model has already begun to be implemented and tested in cooperation with the “Zakazhi” network of stores of household and electronic appliances “Tekhnoshok. In the future, “Zakazhi” plans to negotiate with other retail chains on mutually beneficial terms.

At the same time, we are developing the concept of a new Internet project, the pilot version of which will appear at the end of this year. To date, it’s too early to talk about the project in detail, as it is in the process of active development. Its launch will be announced additionally, and the first months of work will be demonstrative for us in terms of its prospects, the perception of the consumer. We will adapt it to the actual needs of users, and we are confident that the new project will occupy its own niche on the electronic commerce market.
