Samyang has announced a new AF 14mm F2 lens.8 F with auto focus system for full-frame Nikon cameras. The lens is made with the company’s most advanced optical technology and delivers high image quality across the entire field of the frame.
The optical design of the new lens consists of 15 elements in 10 groups. These include two aspherical elements, one with ultra-low dispersion and four elements with a high refractive index. This achieves high image sharpness with minimal distortion and low chromatic aberration. In addition, all elements are coated with a multi-layer antireflection coating to reduce glare and ghosting.
The aperture mechanism consists of seven blades and allows adjustment of the relative aperture from f/2.8 to f/22. The new lens has an upgraded autofocus module which delivers a quieter, faster and more accurate focus. If necessary, the AF/MF switch allows you to activate manual focus mode. Other features include sealed seals that prevent moisture and dust from entering the body, extending the life of the lens.
Price and availability
Cost and timing of the lens availability will be announced later.
