Demand for large-format digital solutions grows rapidly. Demand for large venue projection is predicted to increase by more than 50% annually until 2020, driven by the demand for multi-purpose sports and entertainment venues, theaters, museums, amusement parks, and various large venues.

PH Series projectors are designed with the needs of large venues in mind, where you want cinematic quality video at an affordable lifetime cost. These projectors use the latest advances in RB laser light source technology, to achieve new levels of brightness and high resolution combined with low operating costs for a range of applications and spaces. The PH3501QL provides 40,000 lumens and the PH2601QL 30,000 lumens.

These flagship models use the best laser technology with a laser-phosphor source and RGB laser. The resulting powerful projector offers unbeatable advantages in terms of cost, operational efficiency and high image quality. The use of a red and blue laser light source overcomes the color and brightness limitations of conventional laser-phosphor projection systems, delivering excellent image quality and uniformity.

An efficient light output control system delivers significant operating cost savings over lamp-based projection systems, due to lower power consumption, no maintenance, lamp replacement and filtering over the laser’s lifetime of 20,000 hours.

Gerd Kaiser, Senior Product Manager, NEC Display Solutions Europe, for the large venue projector range“NEC has a wealth of experience and expertise in display technology, including cinema and large-scale projection. Our new projector family is to meet the needs of the market for large scale and reliable visual display solutions. Presentations for very large audiences require a huge screen for eye pleasing visuals and easy to read text. Often they are as big as ten meters or more. Our new PH series projectors meet these requirements. They have real 4K resolution and brightness up to 40,000 lumens, providing the perfect viewing experience even in high-light environments. We’ve used all of our experience to make a cinematic quality picture mainstream, the standard for any venue, application or occasion. Color space can be calibrated for reliable color reproduction, which is ideal for color-critical workflows or common presentation formats such as streaming video”.

PH Series projectors offer the most convenient installation, with wide vertical +/- 50% and horizontal +/- 17% lens adjustments – better than any other 4K resolution competitive product on the market, offering a choice of wide zoom bayonet lenses. It enables convenient, trouble-free installation and facilitates the replacement of older projectors. The projectors also have connectivity options to meet the demands of future applications, including multiple 4K inputs and intelligent signal processing such as picture-in-picture or picture-by-picture to provide “pixel-free” viewing on large screens.

The innovative PH Series projectors from NEC Display Solutions Europe will be on display at ISE 2018 in Amsterdam this February. The NEC PH3501QL and NEC PH2601QL will be available in March/April 2018.
