In the near future the renowned company M&K Sound, specializing in the development of premium cinema speakers, will introduce a fresh model of the brand’s line. As it became known quite recently, the manufacturer is preparing to release a substantially upgraded and reworked version of the classic speaker system S150, which once earned a lot of positive reviews from leading trade publications. As it follows from the official announcement, M&K engineers managed to bring the sound of an already excellent speaker to a whole new level!
It is known that the official presentation of the S150 will take place during the CES forum, which will be held in Las Vegas in early 2018. There the manufacturer promises to present the full technical specification and, of course, the final design of the new speakers. Visitors to the ISE Show in Amsterdam, February 6-9, will also be able to see and hear the S150. Most likely the recommended retail prices for the new model will be announced after the European premiere. We will keep you informed!
The published list of improvements is really impressive: in fact, the company’s specialists completely revised the “stuffing” of the original device. In particular, it uses many of the advanced technologies and components borrowed from the older model S300: thanks to this solution, the new version of the S150 shows stunning sound quality and accurately reproduces all the nuances of audio content. It also features the original 28mm soft-dome tweeters, specially designed five-inch woofers for the S150, and improved crossovers, combined with the rest of the electronics with new proprietary M&K Sound cables. By combining traditional technical solutions with the latest achievements of engineering, the masters from M&K Sound have created speakers which can be used not only as part of a cinema set, but also as full fledged studio monitors.
