Surprisingly simple to use but incredibly versatile: the new induction hob KM 6395 FlexTouch hob from Miele is now available. When cooking on Mieleā€™s new FlexTouch induction hob, pots and pans can be placed in any convenient area on the ceramic surface. Display shows the exact position of the pans.

KM 6395 FlexTouch hob has an intuitive user interface that allows you to place pots and pans in any area of the ceramic hob. You no longer need to align pans with the rings beneath them. The new technology is based on 36 individual induction rings that are combined with each other in different combinations to create single heating zones. The cooktop automatically detects the size and position of your pots and pans and marks their exact position on the display. The model uses touchscreen displays for the first time, displaying settings in a concise, graphic style.

The induction hob of the FlexTouch hob, which is 90 cm wide, can be operated in three different modes. Multi mode is ideal for daily use ā€“ pots and pans can be placed anywhere on the ceramic hob. You can put up to five items on the plate at the same time. The arrangement of the individual pots and pans is shown in a diagram on the display panel. You can activate individual zones and change settings by touching the display.

Solo mode is designed for special occasions, such as family dinners. In this mode, all the induction rings located underneath the ceramic surface are combined to create a single heating zone. This is useful when you need to heat several large pots and pans or reheat several large dishes at the same time. In this case, the display shows a single heat output.

And last but not least, the Trio mode. Talented young cooks who prefer to cook at the same time in multiple temperature modes will appreciate the usefulness and convenience of this mode. For example, while the meat is being heated on the far right, the center zone can be used for stewing vegetables for side dishes. At the same time, the water for the pasta dish can be brought to the boil on the left side at high power.

The new ceramic touchscreen is protected from hot pots and pans. Like all touch-screens in the latest generation of home appliances, the display reacts quickly and accurately to your touch.

Functions that ensure convenient and safe use of the hob include, among others, a timer, a system lock and residual heat indicators.

A quick overview of the benefits of induction hobs

Unlike the usual cooking process using gas or electricity, induction heating applies heat directly to the bottom of pots and pans. This effect is due to a variable electromagnetic field. When the corresponding cookware is placed on the cooking zone, the electromagnetic field is interrupted, releasing the heat. This heat is transferred directly to the food to be cooked. Likewise, the energy transfer stops immediately when the pan is removed from the ceramic hob.

Cooking on an induction hob is high-speed cooking. The selected heating power is reached almost instantaneously because in this case there is no need to heat the ceramic surface first and then the cookware standing on it. The result is significantly shorter heating times.

Since the ceramic hob itself is not heated during the cooking process, oil and grease do not stick to it. This makes cleaning up after cooking much easier. An additional advantage: the hob cools down so quickly that it presents no danger to the user shortly after it is switched off.

Precise power control means you can bring food to exactly the right cooking condition. Unlike traditional cooktops, induction cooktops cool down very quickly after they are turned off.
