Panasonic Life+ Screen TVs learn the preferences of each user or the whole family at once and offer the right content. When creating recommendations, the new TV models analyze not only the overall viewing history, but also recognize each user, creating personalized recommendations – by pressing the “Like” button on the Touch Control Panel, you tell the TV that you like the show you are watching now, and it, through metadata and special algorithms, will pick up similar content.
The user interface is built based on your preferences
How exactly the recommended content is presented to the user is very important. Panasonic has taken a whole new look at the graphical user interface in its new generation of televisions. MyRibbon feature is a channel with recommended content from different sources, meaning you get movies, shows, TV shows, Internet videos and on-demand videos on the same screen, so you can just enjoy it without worrying about searching. In addition, My Ribbon can display your family videos and photos, web pages and online videos.
Voice recognition and voice navigation
Navigation and content search have been greatly simplified in the new models. To open the MyRibbon page you only need to say the phrase “MyRibbon” into the touchpen microphone or the microphones integrated in the TV.* And to find new content, all you have to do is tell the TV exactly what you’re looking for – with Voice Guidance, there’s no need for complicated navigation or search systems anymore.
Presence detection and the Dashboard feature
Life+ Screen TVs are not just for watching content, they are also a useful tool for displaying important information. When your TV detects your presence, it goes out of standby mode and shows you useful information on your screen, like the clock, calendar and weather forecast – a feature called the Dashboard. What’s more, with a built-in camera the TV can recognise you and display content specific to you, such as videos, alerts and recommendations.
Cloud based service – not only use your TV in your living room
Interaction with Life+ Screen TVs isn’t limited to the living room. Thanks to Panasonic’s my Home Cloud service, Life+ Screen TVs can share information and content with smartphones and PCs. For example, a bookmarked link to an online video added to your desktop will also appear on your TV’s My Feed screen.
Picture Quality
Panasonic has long been regarded as a leader in picture quality. Even though the new features are available on Life+ Screen models that do not support 4K resolution, it is the combination of the new features and the incredible picture quality of Ultra HD resolution that has created a qualitatively new level of TV.
Panasonic drew on years of experience in developing plasma TVs when designing the AXR800 Ultra HD series.
