Panasonic and Firefox OS unlock the full potential of Smart TVs with the new 2015 LIFE+SCREEN 4K ULTRA HD and HD TV lineup

When it comes to TVs, viewers want to access their favorite content, channels, devices or apps as quickly and with as little effort as possible. Panasonic’s new line of Life+ Screen smart TVs use interactive technologies to allow users to quickly and easily access the content they want.

Firefox OS

This spring the new Panasonic Life+ Screen Smart TVs will feature an innovative interactive interface based on the Firefox operating system, developed by Panasonic in cooperation with Mozilla.

1. New intuitive customizable interface

The new interface is designed to allow users to access content, devices and applications as quickly and easily as possible.

New user interface:

– Combines access to channels, devices, apps into a single portal for quick access

– Allows users to easily customize their preferences, using thePin function to mark their favorite apps, web pages and not only on the TV, but also on other devices connected to it in a single network

In addition, the new interface will introduce, for the first time, the My Home Page 2 feature.0. The 2015 TV lineup’s My Home graphic user interface takes the My Home page to a new level compared to the previous lineup, making it as easy as possible to access content with a simple press of the Home button on the TV remote control. 2. Intuitive interconnectivity between all the devices you own

The Firefox operating system uses open standards, so users can send photos, videos or other content to their TV from any smartphone, tablet or computer that has a Firefox browser or other compatible app.

Consumers no longer need to be limited to one ecosystem or brand. No additional devices are required to share content using TVs with Firefox OS – the user just needs to make sure the TV is in the same WI-FI network.

3. Maximum flexibility for developers

Using cross-platform web content Firefox operation system gives great opportunities for developers to create new applications and services.
