Who expects strong humidification from this device? You can not wait, this function is a minor one. Yes, and the water consumption in three days speaks for itself.

The photocatalytic filter sometimes gets wet. And that’s because according to the manual “water filter cuts off suspended water and possible pollutant residues in the air”, and this filter is nothing else but a usual plastic ring which has a spongy photocatalytic filter in it photo 3 .

I can judge about the device operation only by my own impressions, as I have neither hygrometer, nor aeron counter what happens with the photocatalyst is the terrible secret, I can warrant only that the buttons are pressed and diodes shine, what processes occur at this moment is a mystery .

However, the problematic photocatalytic filter spoils the impression very much. It is hard to say how long it will last. The situation is complicated by the fact that the AIC XJ-225 can easily become from an air purifier to a pollutant. My enthusiasm about the UV lamps lasting 5-6 years was obviously premature – the weak point of this device is clearly not here.

I want to add that the device is made in China. And there is a service center only in New York that with any serious breakage makes every provincial citizen face a choice: what is easier: to go to the dump for one time or to start surfing in the capital?

Purchasing the climate complex AIC XJ-225 and its improved versions AIC XJ-256 and AIC XJ-277 you should think hard.
