Gimbsenā€™s three-axis electronic stabilizer Moza AirCross

Gimbsen has released a new stabilizer for mirrorless camera owners called Moza AirCross . Supporting a payload of up to 1.8kg, the new Moza stabilizes your mirrorless camera even with a cine lens mounted, and a high-capacity battery in the grip can share a charge with Sony and Panasonic cameras while you shoot.

Moza AirCross is a lightweight version of the Moza Air and is designed for compact system cameras and small DSLR cameras. It also has a number of new features, including a claimed 12-hour battery life and the ability to charge from an external power supply.

The handle contains three batteries with a combined capacity of 2,000 mAh to power the stabilizer for an entire shooting day, and can also be used to power a number of compatible Sony and Panasonic cameras through an auxiliary battery pack that installs inside the camera. Since the stabilizer can also be powered by an external battery, Gimbsen assures that users can not worry about low charge levels and focus their attention on the shooting process.

Another new feature is the quick mount system, which is compatible with both Manfrotto 501PL and Arca tripod quick release plates. The system allows to take the camera off the mount and put it back on later which avoids having to rebalance the whole system. The autotuning through the Moza app ensures that the stabilizer is balanced for the weight of the camera and accessories, and the gyro calibration supports IMU technology.

Gudsen also added modes like Roll-follow to Yaw-follow and Yaw-Pitch-follow to the standard tracking modes. Users can count on tilt adjustments ranging from -175Ā° to +135Ā°, as well as 360Ā° in the Yaw and Roll axes.

The stabilizer weighs 896g and the 1/4ā€³-20 threaded connections allow you to mount a variety of accessories, such as a microphone or monitors. With the Moza app you can program different combinations of movements with the addition of timelapse. Of particular interest is the wireless Moza Thumb-Controller which mounts on an additional handle and controls the camera from a distance, duplicating the movement of the handle.

Starting and stopping recording, for some Sony and Panasonic cameras, can be controlled directly from the main unit handle, and for some Canon DSLR models, focus control is supported. Gudsen promises that with a firmware update, the AirCross will have the ability to control aperture.

Can the Gimbsen Moza AirCross stabilize footage in all three axes simultaneously? How effective is it in reducing camera shake and ensuring smooth, professional-looking shots? Additionally, how easy is it to balance and operate with different camera setups? Any feedback from users who have tested this stabilizer would be greatly appreciated.
