GARDENA: Space-saving storage for garden tools in winter

Autumn is coming to an end, which means it is time to start putting away your gardening equipment. Tools and garden equipment are large enough and space in the garage or utility unit is limited. GARDENA recommends the most compact and tidy way to store all your gardening equipment.

Lawn mowers and trimmers should be put away first. These tools go to a “well-deserved rest” in the fall, after the last mowing of the lawn, and are removed toward the end of spring. Tools and gardening equipment are large enough and the unit should be emptied of residual grass and dirt. GARDENA batteries are equipped with a high-tech control system that protects them against overloading and deep discharge. Batteries can be stored for long periods of time without use in a warm, dry room without fear of self-discharge.

Next you need to take care of cleaning the garden hoses. GARDENA hoses are well frost-proof, but with the onset of winter use is no longer necessary, so care should also be taken when storing them. With the GARDENA Automatic Hose Reel on the wall, twisting takes little time and effort. The high-tech design avoids kinks and kinks in the hose and the handy spool body is wall-mounted and can be swivelled through 180°, which is very practical and saves a lot of space.

When the leaf removal is over, and the fall planting of trees and shrubs is behind, it’s time to think about cleaning shovels and garden rakes. The most important thing to remember is that tools have to be thoroughly cleaned after each use. First remove visible dirt, clay, grass and dust, and then go over the work surface with a stiff brush or metal scraper. And for storing the combisystem tools the GARDENA wall bracket is well suited, consisting of an aluminium stand with holders made of fibreglass-reinforced plastic. The galvanized steel hooks with non-slip coating allow for compact storage of handles from 18 to 40 mm in diameter and garden tools. The bracket can easily be fixed to the wall with the screws and wall plugs that are included.

GARDENA offers lots of solutions to save space. It’s easy, simple and – most importantly – economical to store gardening equipment and tools.
